“While visiting the U.P. on vacation (8/19/2025)we were wanting some Greek food. Zorbas restaurant was closed, so we googled 'Gyros' in Sault St Marie and 'Motown Nates' popped up. I'm SO glad we stopped - the GYROS were flippin' amazing ! Before ordering I asked if they were 'authentic' ... and man, they did not disappoint ! The portions were large and the tzatziki sauce was 'spot on' ! Great Job Motown Nates from Marshfield, Mo !!“

“Good coffee and good food right in downtown Sault Ste Marie. When I'm in the mood for a panni pressed cornbeef sandwich Cup of the Day is my go to. Plus the coffee shop is just a half block from a cute pocket park where you can enjoy your food and watch the world go round.“

“My husband and I do not consume alcohol so we never have a reason to come here. We wanted to participate in the Bon Soo magic show so we came here. We enjoyed ourselves and the food. The staff were extremely friendly. Because of the snow we were not 100% certain where we were allowed to park so I want to add I wish they had an accessible parking space close to their entrance as walking is hard for me. Will return.“

“My wife and I would like to bring to your attention the absolute and sincere appreciation for the services that all your staff provided during these unexpected times. As you may be aware, my wife had a heart attack on the way to Sault Ste Marie. We were travelling via vehicle to Edmonton. While in the hospital, not knowing what my next move was, I contacted your hotel and Benny understanding our situation took control and extended our stay when apparently there was no room at the Inn, pardon the pun. I must confess, I’m normally very composed and logistically very well organized however that day, I lost all perspective of what was happening and had a challenging time putting two and two together. Benny (Brenda - huge asset to Water Tower Inn) was so empathetic to our situation it made it much easier for me to accept and understand what was happening to my wife, which was unexpected and shocking. Every morning at breakfast Alexis took care of me, with compassion and understanding, checking to see how my wife, April was doing. Later on serving both of us and again checking to see that April was OK. At dinner, we were served by a very lovely lady Dana, who served us with understanding and compassion. Housekeeping was nothing short of fabulous. We appreciate everything they did for us during our stay with you. You have no idea how this made us feel, that someone that we didn’t even know cared about my wife and her situation. You should be very proud to have the staff that you have. It has made our stay unbelievably safe, comfortable and very memorable. Please understand that there were many others on your staff that provided great service however we didn’t get their names and to that we apologize, but understand they were also very much appreciated. Again, our biggest thanks to all staff for their unconditional support. Water Tower Inn will be hotel of choice when we pass thru Sault Ste Marie and definitely talked about to all we meet. 🙏“

“Stopped in the Monday before canada day. Had the beef dip amd side caesar salad. Best beef dip I've ever had anywhere except Buffalo NY. Beef was cooked perfect. Not dry. Bun was grilled. Onions were both good. Onion sticks and caramelized. Caesar salad could've been better. Just mighty Caesar and some better bacon. Cheese was good. Maybe a bit too much dressing but whatever. Great sandwich. I'll be back for sure. Thanks.“

“We are so impressed with Chucks! An absolutely amazing night with the Soo Greyhounds serving us! Even with the chaos of the celebrity serve night we still got our food promptly(we were in fed, socialized and out within an hour) it was delicious and such kind people who work there! I felt so taken care of and important! the price was extremely fair, it wasn't much more than you'd find at a fast food restaurant! Definitely recommend Chucks! I have had this experience now multiple times!“
