Read the reviews, went in expecting an “experience”. All we got was great food, half rib tips and half chicken, and great conversation with a restaurant owner and new friend with shared interests of cars and motorcycles. Will stop again next time we are passing through. Thanks!!!

Ok. I read a lot of the 1 and 2 star reviews and I can see where those folks are coming from. Its Woody's place. Love him or hate him, he makes no excuses for who he is and is a direct, kinda loud guy who just wants to serve his food. Yes, get your own fountain drink. Yes, walk in and be direct, but respectful. Yes, cash only. No big deal with any of this. Personality aside, I live close to 3 outstanding, award winning bbq places in east Michigan, so my bbq bar is very high....

Never knew about this place and happened to drive by, seen the bbq sign and turned around. Off the top the owner was real cool when we walked in. I got tips, with coleslaw, baked beans and baked potato which was all very good. The sauce was the icing on the cake with those tips. It had a nice sweat taste that went perfect with those tips. Will definitely be back and the owner being real friendly added to the atmosphere.
