Alright, so we've lived in Philly and Chicago, tasted some top-notch food, you know? But The Historian? Man, it's right up there with the best!Started things off with those French deviled eggs – just wow! Then, I went for the tomahawk pork chop, and seriously, it's like they've mastered the art of making pork taste like heaven. Cut into it, and it's as smooth as butter. Me and the hubby gave it a solid "best pork chop ever" vote. ?Hubby tried the hanger steak, and it was pure deliciousness. The flavors, the tenderness – spot on. His old fashioned cocktail was also fabulousAlready planning our next date night at The Historian. It's a no-brainer; we're bringing our friends along for this foodie adventure. Can't wait to dive back into this tasty haven!

We had called ahead, and they had a spot for us ready to go. The service was wonderful despite being as busy as it was.My Tomahawk Chop hit the spot,and the sweet potato puree was very good.
Cool vibe and open later than most in the area. Craft made cocktails served by a knowledgeable staff. Nice wine selection too.

Great addition to the area. Nice staff, friendly owners, excellent craft cocktails. Can't believe they converted what was such a sterile space into such a warm and welcoming bar and restaurant. Food is very good. The steak, pork chop, ahi tuna tartare, duck tenders, and onion tart all earned rave reviews from our table. Will be back. Frequently.

Right around the corner from us in Sawyer...we live live live The Historian. Small, quaint and super sophisticated spot for a yummy cocktail and bite to eat. Don't miss it when you're riding on Red Arrow!

Good is excellent with a limited menu. Speciality Cocktail menu is amazing. Staff is friendly and attentive. Bistro like setting. It's just somewhat noisy but I love it!
Food was good. Ambiance kind of cool. Drinks expensive and ran out of some dinner items. Also was surprised by add on charges for drinks for an olive (for example).
