Only eaten here 2 times before this - however 3rd times a charm I guess. They were pretty passive aggressive on the phone when I was speaking about how I needed a menu item to be” fish allergy proof”(mind you I’ve eaten here before and they were ok with substituting fish sauce in the drunken noodle) two different people spoke to me and proceeded to tell me they couldn’t do it, when I explained that they’ve done it for me in the past she said “ok we will do it”…needless to say I’m regretful I continued my order looking past their lack of enthusiasm to make our food, I end up getting the food and eating - not only was the drunken noodle wreaking of fish, there was a black HAIR buried in between my dish, I kid you not - I am absolutely DISGUSTED. So difficult to overlook this and assume it was an accident considering the attitude given to me on the phone. That sums up the end of Lanna Thai for me.

Came here for my son’s birthday, and he said it’s in his top five Thai places. Considering he just got back from traveling in Asia, it was high praise.
I would definitely come back here again. Clean, great food, and great service. Restaurant is dine in, with nice size booths, and a few four top tables.
This would be a perfect date spot, great for families. Nice size menu, but not over the top. You can tell this place makes a few things very well.
Pop comes in cans, no fountain option.

Tried the Pad Almond Stir Fried Chicken, Rice Soup and Chicken Fried Rice with a Coke today, YUM! Then, I came back for some Shrimp Fried Rice with 3 Shrimp Rolls (Spring Rolls) YUM! ???

Let it first be said, that I love spicy food, and I love food with great flavors. Lanna Thai delivers both in spades (My friends, if you ask for spicy, you'll get it, but its not painful as opposed to balanced). Very friendly and prompt service along with a finished product.
The first bite sold me as this being one of the hidden gems of the Shelby Township area, and I can't wait to try the rest of their menu.
