We were in the side dining room and thr owner John continously came in and we could very clearly hear him being rough and rude with the other employees. It made the entire meal uncomfortable and tense.
Friday, August 15th was our 38th wedding anniversary. We live in Whitehall, but were in Grand Rapids doing some shopping and was going to have a nice dinner at one of the well known restaurants there in GR. While heading to the restaurant, I get a call from a customer I've done work for numerous times saying that she was locked out of her house in New Era. Knowing my wife was a little disturbed with me, I just couldn't leave my customer stranded for a few hours, so...
Went for a drink and had a wonderful Oberon in a FROSTED glass! Sat at the bar and the bar tender was friendly and the space is pretty neat and very convenient. Only ordered fries. The fries were ok, and the portion size was a little small for an appetizer, but overall had a great visit. It was very hot outside and the bar remained cool. Did not order the fries asparagus but did envy the plate that passed me by.
