Yesterday I found the elegant Croque Monsieur was amazing with delicate ham & creamy cheese encased in hearty bread, very upscale & filling. It was so good I thought about it for hours afterwards. My husband is severely allergic to MSG, guar gum, xanthan gum, & carrageenan so he's hesitant to try much besides fish & chips and hamburgers bec those ingredients are often added to spices, sauces, dressings, even some breads, but the menu there is so tempting...
Food was good and our service was great. The only turn off to this place was the way the chef spoke too and treated his wait staff after we informed her the steak was overcooked and not the medium we ordered. We still finish the meal and did not request a new state to be made as the steak was still good just not cooked to the order. He then proceeded to yell across the cook line at the waitress for reporting the concern that we stated it was unprofessional the way he handled it...
This is a breath of fresh air. You can taste and see all the hard work. Fairly simple menu with unique tasty items. Love that it’s a local place with a very special touch. Very polite staff. The few things they could improve on don’t outweigh how nice it is on a family business trying hard for very good dishes.
