Matt was a fantastic server. He made great recommendations, answered questions, and kept our water glasses full. Timing of our courses was perfect. The heirloom tomato pie was so tasty and unique. Broccolini was exceptional as well as our entrees and dessert. Five stars from start to finish!
We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Poole's. We started with the Lobster Donuts (!! that was our reaction, too, when we saw them on the menu! But trust me, you want to order them). My wife ordered the seared tuna, which was delicious, and I had the Long Island Strip Steak - same. We shared the Macaroni Au Gratin and would happily have made a meal of it alone. Yum. Our waitress/bar tender, Brittany, was great: Attentive, informative, and fun.
I had a mixed experienced. We ended up getting there ahead of our guest so I tried to order an appetizer. I was told that the chef only wanted appetizer orders when we ordered the whole meal. I thought the selection was limited. My shrimp entree was good but the dessert was terrible. I ordered a Peach Shortcake and they gave me a cinnamon bun that was cut in 4 and very dry. I will not be going back.
