Long wait, but we wanted to eat outsode which there was no wait for. Prices are very fair for the amount and quality of food provided. Highly recommend if you are looking for an Italian dinner.
Nice dinner, great Caesar salad, very friendly server. Very busy during summer, expect a 30-45 minute wait.
I got their Palermo to go & ate it on the beach. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Their sauce is absolutely delicious, you can taste the layers of flavor with every bite! The sundried tomatoes paired with the seafood and quite generous amount of pasta has officially made this my favorite Italian restaurant this side of Michigan. 10/10
Consider this on the level of “last meal” God tier exquisite food 👍

This is a gem! The best Italian food I have ever had. This is a small restaurant so seating is limited, but they have a patio for outdoor seating. I had the Sicilian Pasta, with red sauce and Italian sausage! It was very good. My wife had the chicken alfredo and we shared the spinach dip, both were great. I want to try their pizza, we watch many customers carrying pizza boxes out of the restaurant. We stop here anytime we are in town!
If you are looking for authentic Italian fettuccine Alfredo- this is not it. The chicken tasted pre boiled (and portion very small for the chicken fettuccine Alfredo) and they over compensated the Alfredo sauce with so much cheese. The good things: They were very kind and atmosphere good for a date night AND family friendly

Great gem in South Haven with amazing food and great homemade salad dressings and breadsticks
Looked effortlessly for a real Italian food establishment. Many think olive garden is that. Just order the lasagna at Maria's you get big fresh made piece with several cheese blends and flavorable sauce and crushed tomatoes and home made Italian sausage.
This place has a life time customer now plenty of other dishes from spaghetti to Alfredo

Highly recommend. We did carry out on this visit and it was excellent! We tried 7 different entrees and they were all cooked very well. No issues at all. It was a little bit of a wait for carry out so make sure you plan ahead, and know that if you do a carry out pizza they take a bit longer since they apply preference to the dine-in patrons - also, there are some items on the menu that are unavailable for carry out.
They do have indoor and outdoor seating.
Special shoutout to the young lady working the front desk. Didn’t catch her name but she seemed like part of the family. She was fantastic managing traffic, engaging everyone, and doing it all with a smile. Really appreciated her level of service and making sure all got what they needed as quick as possible!

Great food! Totally enjoyed everything.
Great Italian eatery, from the warm greeting upon entering through friendly and attentive table service, waitress was awesome. The portions are huge. I had the delicious pasta with sausage and peppers, and wonderful caprese salad. Took have of the entree home! Moderate noise in the dining room. An obnoxiously loud small party of Hispanic folks, including loud personal phone call taking without any consideration of the other diners around them. And these were older folks, boomers like myself. There's a time and a place for that behavior. My only complaint! Ps, don't forget to try their amazing homemade meatballs. Some of the best I've tasted. A hidden gem off main street SH! Thank you for a wonderful meal! Highly recommended.

I just had one of the best Italian meals of my life at Maria’s Taste of Italy, and I’m still thinking about it hours later!
The fettuccine Alfredo here is absolutely to die for — rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, with that silky sauce that clings to every noodle like it was born to be there. I literally closed my eyes on the first bite. And don’t even get me started on the breadsticks! They were dense, chewy, garlicky perfection with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. I may have eaten way too many… zero regrets.
But what really made the night unforgettable was our server, Trish. She was out of this world — super attentive without being overbearing, genuinely funny, and so warm and kind that it felt like having dinner with a friend. She knew the menu inside and out, made perfect recommendations, and kept the laughs coming the whole time. Service like that is rare!
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the portions are generous, and everything tasted fresh and made with love. If you’re craving authentic Italian food and exceptional hospitality, stop what you’re doing and go to Maria’s. You will not be disappointed. I’m already planning my next visit!
Thank you, Trish and team — you made our night special! ❤

Great place to eat...my husband and sisters eat there quite often. Food is amazing. Met a gentleman there who i thought was the owner but he advised he was just a long time friend. He had full arm tattoos and was amazing ..great personality and sense of humor...polite and respectful. He needs to work there!
