Mojave Cantina - South Lyon

The worst service I ever had. My family and I went here and my Father’s Day dinner and we’ll never eat here again. It was over priced for what we got and despite asking for refills on our salsa and beverages we never got them so by the time we paid I was thrilled to go drink the cold water in my car. At certain points during the meal I had to ask my wife if our server left the restaurant because we couldn’t see her anywhere. By the time she finally got to us it took us asking three times for to go boxes and waiting another 20 minutes to pay the bill. She said she was busy but the restaurant was dead. Also there was this creepy old guy wondering around doing nothing to help anyone and drinking shots in the corner. Needless to say it was a terrible experience.

Very new and clean. Food was so good and service was great too. Had the fajitas and would have them again!

**EDITED 6/10/26 VERY disappointed in the food this time ... very bland! Chicken tasted like it was boiled - no flavor to it at all. If the enchiladas hadnt had chorizo in them they would have been disgustingly flavorless. My husband got the Molcajete and was served cold - fresh from the bag tortillas. Salsa was good. Beans and rice were AWFUL! white rice with a pile of cilantro on it IS NOT cilantro lime rice.. beans looked like baby POOP .. Server was pretty good. The food runner lacked personality and basically threw the food onto the table. We will go to Cancun or Elcamino from now on... definitely went down hill since my first visit 2 years ago...

Beautiful place n clean.
Very good servers and service. Food was mediocre at best. First time there and first time ever I had mexican food that was so bland and tasteless n cooked strangely. The salsa was quite good👍

Delicious chorizo chicken enchiladas and of course the famous Michigan Cherry Margaritas!

order veg tacco: i mean no seasoning, no cheese, cold tortillas, no salt no flavors. Seems everything was frozen, straight from refrigerator and assembled and served.

The food was soo very delicious and our server was very prompt and efficient. We were there on a Friday night at 6:00 and there was no wait. We were going to take pictures of the food but then once it was brought out to the table it looked so delicious we totally forgot and started eating immediatly. 😁 the drink specialty menu and the dessert menu looked fabulous but we you're so full we had to pass it up this time. We will definitely come back here again.

I'm just 'whelmed'. Our server was an absolute sweetheart, but my wife and I decided there must have been a language barrier going on. I received the wrong meal twice, and my wife received the wrong meal once. She also ordered a tequila soda with lime and got .. a soda, a shot of tequila with a lime. ...so, a deconstructed drink of the same description. I ordered the steak burrito, which was to contain grilled potatoes in it. The potatoes were genuinely freezer bag tater tots that weren't even crispy. I was pretty disappointed. The place looks incredible, the food looks incredible. But upon further inspection I feel like this is just... A farce. We're surprised that the reviews are so high. I rarely leave reviews to criticize, but this really stood out to us big time.

With that said, again- our server was wonderful even with the mistakes. She kept a very positive attitude and handled everything with grace. But there was just something that wasn't clicking with this place tonight. Unfortunately this was probably our first and last experience here.

Went here for Cinco de Mayo; the vibe was great, salsa was the best I've ever had, Cervezarita was outstanding, Nachos incredible, and Thomas was so hospitable! Highly recommend!!

Food was ok, but not warm. Checked the on-line menu (Lunch) prices were reasonable.
Problem was Cinco de mayo day...special menu?...Prices were higher then the on-line lunch menu, and selection seem limited.
If you offer a special menu because of holiday I would suggest celebration with lower prices in honor of holiday. Most likely will not return.

If you prefer presentation over flavor, this is the place for you. Cold chips. Cold salsa.
Soulless/sterile environment with exceptionally bland food. My wife defined the toppings as “see-through.”
Looks fancy. A lot of teslas in the parking lot. You’re better off going to Camino.

We eat at Mojave Cantina often. Delicious food, tasty margaritas and phenomenal service. We had Sarah tonight again, very prompt, friendly, cheerful. Makes sure we have all we need. It’s a wonderful experience each time we have been here. We dine in, we do take out and bring our staff here for dinners out. Thank you.
