Today my husband and I ate at Lillie Mae’s. I ordered the Turkey leg with dressing, and sweet potatoes. My husband had the chops, potatoes, and corn. The food was okay, they’re pricey. Need to add more portion on the sides. Experience okay. Won’t eat there again. Adams 04/13/2024

They were located on Southfield Rd. just S of 11mile Servic Dr. And they moved, probably because of the poor rating, and now at the location on Northwestern Hwy., the food is still horrible!. The COOK CAN NOT COOK! RIBS ARE STILL GRIZZLE AND GREASE SATURATED WITH TERYAKE SAUCE MIXED WITH A CHEAP BAR B Q SAUCE, THE DRESSING IS THICKER THAN MAC & CHEESE W/ NO FLAVOR, THE RED BEANS & RICE ARE OF A OFF BRAND OLD BEANS AND RICE THATS TASTELESS AND UNDER COOKED! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE, THEY COULDNT EAT THIS FOOD AND SAY TO THEMSELVES, "THIS IS GOOD!"I WOULD HATE TO SEE THEM GO UNDER BUT THEY NEED TO HIRE SOME CULINARY ART STUDENTS TO HELP IMPROVE THE TASTE AND QAULITY OF THE FOOD!....U CANT MESS UP SOUL FOOD AND STAY IN BUSINESS LONG

Weekends always busy.Their Smothered Turkeys is are great.The dressing needs more work (dry).The mac&cheese just taste like cheese. The Mac&cheese needs more work.The Red velvet waffle Taste like chemicals if you don't drench it with Syrup.The Turkey chops needs more favor.On the weekends call your orders in ahead of time.

This was one of the spots Mr.Chimetime viewed, he mentioned the Turkey drumstick and I had to go.Detroit tries to dig into their soulfood roots but there are so many misses.But Lillie Mae's may be on to something. I ordered the trio Turkey Leg, which consists of a huge Turkey leg and two sides. I had yams and macaroni and cheese.I couldn't finish in one setting.

there is no good rating that I am willing to give this restaurant. I'll give it a 0. we waited on a table. to only had to wait before we can go get our food because they were serving carryout and once we were able to get our food, we couldn't even eat in the restaurant because they were closing only to find out they wanted to get the carry out line down how stupid was that. it was cafeteria style. they have the dining room line mix with the carryout line and if you're dining in, you will have to wait till the line is down before you are able to get in line to get your food. The carryout. was serve before the dining room Big issue. the food was very disgusting. I would never eat there again. I ordered pork chops, the pork chops were very overcooked one was old. It looks as if it was there for a two days and they just mix it in with the new batch.the macaroni was burnt. The cheese wasn't even melted dry no flavor and the dressing had no flavor whatsoever the cabbage. tasted as if I was at a Chinese restaurant and did not even taste like cabbage. The the women that was serving the food had very poor customer service.With attitudes.. I feel as people really overrated that restaurant it was so very, not worth the money or time and I hate that I have to even give this place a star just to post this review. Good the first time not so good the second inconstant disappointing
Very nice people & clean establishment. I had the turkey leg with Mac & cheese, dressing & grape kool-aid. The turkey leg is fall off the bone and well seasoned. The dressing was wasn’t my grandmothers but pretty good 3/5. The Mac & cheese definitely can use some work as it had a lot of clumped up cheese, way too much black pepper and no flavor really all you taste is pepper 2/5. Cornbread needs work not really any flavor and a very small thin square piece maybe 2-3 bites 3/5. Now that grape kool-aid was bomb dot com 5/5 ?. Price was high I paid $32 and some change. I think multiple turkey legs at Walmart are like $6 lol. I could have bought the whole meal and cooked it myself for $32 ?. However I understand she has a very high overhead with employees, rent & utilities so I’m not here to knock a black owned business. I would suggest eating here but be careful ordering a bunch of sides and extra stuff as your bill could quickly shoot to $50-$100 or more. I would also come back to eat again but not on a regular basis because the price is high as heck lol thanksParking: Lots of parking but I heard they get busy sometimes so may be no parking spots on those days as parking lot is shared with other businesses and isn’t that bigWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking up front not sure if there was a handicap ramp but should be pretty accessible for people with disabilities as curb was low to the ground and no major obstacles I seen.

Lillie Mae’s my first time coming here was HORRIBLE! How they go about there operation should not be allowed this was the worst service I ever had! They have 3 different lines running and only one person working on the floor. They really make it difficult for you to even enjoy your first experience here. I will NEVER COME BACK TO THIS lazy horribly Ran establishment.
