First off it's a shared restaurant with hook and reel being there first and you get 2 menus one for either hook or kinya very off putting. They don't make their own noodles, not enough of pork or beef the slices are way too thin. They add gold to the kinya ramen bowl for no reason except up the charge when they can be using that little bit of money saver to give more meat in the bowl. The appetizers are tasty but not enough of something involved with the food. Ex. The takoyaki although good had barely any octopus and was chewy. The buns had almost no meat but we're tasty. They don't have ice cream even though it's on the dessert menu. I am able to make a bowl of ramen using flank steak and 2 different instant ramen bowls one being spicy. I can make 2 or 3 portions at home for the same cost as one bowl here so will not be coming back. (Owner replied saying to email about the problem sent 2 emails over a a few weeks so lowered rating from 2 to 1)Parking: It's inside a strip mall and shares the same location as hook and reel

We came across this restaurant by accident and we like this place. We were looking for ramen but end up ordering a lot more than noodles. Now they are a bit more upscale than fast food but pricing is still reasonable. All in all the food is yummy and service is friendly.

Foods was great wish we didn't have to wait that long, service was slow but it's a Sunday and it was not much worker for how busy they got. It's nice and open great size seating.

Food was good, it would have done better with some spice ?. I loved my Caribbean colada was amazing. Staff felt too comfortable around the customers speaking so casually can make the reputation of the restaurant go down they need more discipline however I will absolutely come back for the food. Not too pricey worth the money.

Ordered pickup. The restaurant is combined with Hook & Reel which was a little odd for finding the place. Otherwise everything was fantastic!Ordered two kinya bowls with appetizers. Noodles were cooked and cooled so their firmness was preserved once the broth was added at home. Broth was well seasoned with just the right amount of salt (I like my ramen a tad on the salty side). I usually prefer a bit more fat for flavor, but didn't mind the amount here. All the toppings were top notch - fat pieces of narruto, tender and flavorful chashu, crisp bean sprouts and menma, perfect egg.Appetizers were OK. The takoyaki was solid, but buns had too much mayo and only two thin pieces of pork belly.I'd say this ramen is top 3 in SE MI and can't wait to try some of the other broths.

Y'all hard. Idk who had the bright idea of having a ramen spot that doubles with a hook and reel. But absolutely genius. I was thinking like. Maybe the ramen good and the seafood boils weak or vice versa but both slapped. Customer service was also super good my dog Kayla looked out. They also got a happy hour from 3-7 and then 9 until close. 3 dollar shots. Me and baebo was in there getting litty after we ate. Heavy space. Big TV's for my gamblers and sports watchers. I'd Recommend. Strong 9 out of 10.

We happened to visit on a Saturday night and walked in very confused as there was a live DJ playing very loud music (totally fine, just want expecting it). I asked the hostess if this was a ramen place and she smiled and said yes and it's a shared concept space with Hook & Reel. The food was good, but all of the ramen has a fish cake made to look like Naruto radish and I would have prefered real Naruto. I got the Chintan Ramen with chicken. I asked for no black fungus (mushrooms). I'm assuming they were out of nori as it was listed in the description but there was none in my bowl, but I didn't complain since I like ramen with or without nori. The broth was very good, but I could not finish my ramen and the carry out container provided was not appropriate for the broth so I left most of it in the bowl.We also got the bao buns. They were good, but there was too much sauce, maybe twice what it needed. The pork belly tasted great and the bun was soft and warm.Service was great, though it was not busy. I'd like to visit another time when it's busier to be able to vouch for service quality and maybe bump up my rating after trying more things.

Not the best ramen I’ve had in my life but definitely the best one in the Detroit metro area right now (after Urban Ramen closure). Get the tonkotsu, you will not regret it.

Great meal in a convenient location. I plan to return soon! The $20 combo was a great value.

We've been going to this hook&reel since they opened with all-you-can eat boils. When looking for something new, my wife came across the announcement that a Ramen bar was opening up within the h&r.Despite some negative reviews we saw, we gave it a shot and were not disappointed. The portion was more than I could eat. The food was flavorful, and they didn't skimp on anything. The service was fast and good as usual.

Food was alright, fairly priced and overall good experience. Egg was over cooked in my ramen and rubber like, along with being broken into 3 pieces. :'(
