I hadn't been there in a while, but our food was delicious, and our server was excellent, charming, and knew about the businesses both still open and ones that were shuttered. I even found out about another HOR restaurant location that I had never seen or heard of before but under new owner/ management on E 8 Mi Rd w/o Gratiot in Eastpointe (formerly East Detroit).Parking: Nothing more
I took my wife here for a quick lunch so that she could get a Reuben sandwich. It's a one-time Taco Bell with mostly booths and scattered chairs. A modern country radio station plays a little too loudly in the background. My wife pronounced her Reuben almost perfect. It had lots of meat, tasty crisp toast, and just the right amount of cheese and sauerkraut. As a new pescatarian, I took the opportunity to have a tuna sandwich. Good place. Soups are classic made on site standbys. Sandwiches are generous and of good quality. Pretty good fries. The least favorite thing I experienced is they use a griddle fry butter type of product with a strong flavor and kind of a lot of it. So the bread on your grilled sandwich tastes of it.
