We had a wonderful visit to Shady Lane Cellars while we were in the Traverse City area. Sitting outside with a glass of wine made for such a relaxing afternoon—the vineyard views are beautiful and the atmosphere is peaceful. Our favorite was the Pinot Gris. What an amazing winery. Not only are the wines superb but who could not love the wine slushies (Froze) and always opt for a topper! And the grounds are awesome as well. The outside bar/serving area is conveniently designed to fit into the landscape and there is plenty shady seating areas. They are also dog friendly!! We enjoyed the live music as well. The staff is very friendly making the afternoon and atmosphere delightful! Highly recommend!
Fantastic place, fantastic people, and fantastic wine. We were staying for the week on the peninsula and were touring the vineyards in the area. We rode our bikes from Suttons Bay, south on the bike trail, and made this stop. Very close to the bike trail. This stop was well worth it. We bought some great wines and merch to bring home with us. Tim was an excellent wine host! The food is also a winner! Don't skip the fish dip/crackers and the pretzels and cheese, so...
