We visited VI Grill Saturday 9/13/25. Stefan T was the BEST server I have ever encountered. He kept our drinks filled, very knowledgeable of the menu, made sure we had everything we needed, and was a very friendly pleasant individual. He did a great job keeping all his tables happy while it was a busy day. Stefan definitely deserves a raise!

I wasn't feeling well, needed to eat and really the only place in town that we could see, Way overpriced!! With tip for 2 walleye plates which was 1 piece of fish $35.00 per plate,choice of potato and slaw( they won't let you substitute so I had to pay full price for a salad $7.00) an iced tea $5.00 and a slice of cherry pie $9.00 plus tax and tip by the way was a wopping $101.00. Couldn't customize tip. Service was fair. Won't go back and definitely not for families or average income people.

A classic American bar, the VI has good food and a timeless atmosphere. Their sweet potato fries are a genuine standout surprise, being crispy without being burnt, and the sauce accompanying them provides a delightful contrast. Their salmon and walleye is worth the price as well. The only complaint I have is that the service could use some improvement; even during a relatively quiet service, the waiter seemed innatentive, and halfway through our meal asked if we wanted a box. They seemed more focused on other tasks as opposed to checking on us.

Great food. Great atmosphere. What a fun place. Everyone we encountered was fantastic. Perch was really good. Ribs were good. Burger was excellent and perfectly cooked.

I think over all it was good. The lunch walleye basket was good but not a lot of fish. The staff was friendly and I tried the bourbon hot fudge Sunday 7/10 could not taste the bourbon but it was good. Nice place to eat in a small area just a tad higher cost.
