We came here on a breezy October day and got street tacos with asada and barbacoa as well as elotes! We were given chili while we waited and definitely should have added that to the purchase. This is hands down the best food in the area with extremely friendly staff! The elote is a must get!

We stopped by earlier this summer while on a bike ride. We happened to be in the area just this past weekend and made sure we stopped in again. No matter what we order we are always impressed with the quality of the food.

A taco shop on the beach in a small, northern Michigan town. Hmm, it just seems to be the perfect fit. This was my first time stopping at Tony's Tacos, in Tawas, Michigan. I stopped at the recommendation of a good friend. I'm glad he told me about this place because they have the perfect location, the perfect little taco "hut," and the best Street Tacos I've ever had. They are small, so get the three pack. I ordered the hot (calientè) Street Tacos; they had great flavor but were actually quite mild for my taste. I think my mother mighty have been able to eat these without too much discomfort (she didn't even like black pepper!)When you are in, or even just traveling through Tawas, Michigan, take the time to stop and get a bite at Tony's Tacos, even if you're not totally hungry. You will be glad you did! And you can walk the beach while, or after, eating.

Fun little eatery on the water after a hot afternoon picking blueberries. It was super busy the day we went so the order was a bit mixed up and slow but we were hungry and the food was good. We would try it again at a less busier time.

Ok so the only reason the food got 4 stars is due to the chicken being kind of bland. Other than that, great. The steak is amazing and will return again just for the steak alone. Plus it's at a public beach/pier/park. If it's a nice day, you can have a great day at Tony's!

This place is great but their street tacos are a little less than authentic tasting. They need a little less grease to keep the corn tortilla intact. Also, so that you can add the lime and Pico degaio.
30 mins for a kids nacho. Rediculous. And it's not even good. Cheap chips and cheap cheese

Possibly the best gem of Tawas City is Tony's Tacos. Located just off the parking lot of the Huron Shoreline Park, this place is a wonderfully placed taco stand that serves authentic Mexican street food at absolutely affordable prices.I had the pleasure of buying their last Gordita of the day and it absolutely blew my mind. The flavor was beyond what I expected and every bite was heavenly. If you ever find yourself in Tawas, make sure to stop by this place and grab something to eat. You won't be disappointed.
