Great distillery to visit. Had a good tour and a really great tasting at the end. Ed was an awesome guide. They’re good was really good and we enjoyed hanging out at the bonfire while also using the putting green.
We love Journeyman but had terrible service and food tonight! We’ve always had a good experience in the past but our meal took over 3 hours tonight. We had 3 kids with us so it was especially hard. Hoping it was a fluke and will try again to update this review.
It ia not for me, but my family enjoyed it.
Nice place
Very comfy feeling vibes, and welcoming atmosphere. The food is always intriguing and tasteful, I really love the changing of foods along with the seasons. On this particular visit, I felt inclined to leave a Google review after coming here for at least 7+ years.
Jake was a stellar server, he was knowledgeable on the new food items along with the debate of what is considered a bourbon or rye. He offered and gave me samples, which lead me to buying a bottle of “Kissing Cousins,” which I felt was very superior for the price. Along with a bottle of the classic OCG (Old Country Goodness) 🍎
Another great experience, and I’m already looking forward to visiting again. Thank you!!
We had a good time, drinking, eating, and talking.
Excellent tour with our guide Ed!
The liquor selection and pricing is fantastic.
Getting married at Journeyman Distillery was truly a dream. It’s one of our favorite places, so choosing it as our venue was an easy decision, but the events and wedding team made it even more incredible. Michelle and her team were amazing to work with, organized, accommodating, and so calm and flexible with last minute weather changes. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how fun and attentive the staff were. The wedding packages included so much and made planning and coordination effortless. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue or a better team to bring our day to life.
I don’t know if it’s new management, or a new chef. But the food is terrible now. The burger is a pub burger, the caesar salad has frozen chicken on it. I come from Chicago often and I stop at Journeyman every time I’m in town. So disappointed, I don’t even know if I’d come back. Way to ruin the best thing in Three Oaks.
We arrived on a very busy Friday night. It was hard to decide which door was the main door and we had to follow a rope to the front reception 😅 But they were kind and handled the crowd well! Despite the busy night we were seated relatively quickly. The main room is pretty loud on a Friday, but luckily they sat us in a back bar room that was more quiet. The food and service were both good… but let’s be honest… we were there for the cocktails! And they did not disappoint. Well made “adult” (not stupid sweet) cocktails made the night a success.

Great place. Food was good and there was no wait at about 1.
We loved the food and we had a wonderful server! She was a delight! 😊 We will definitely be back! 🤠
Had a nice dinner on Sunday evening. It was very empty, but enjoyable. Had the prime rib sandwich and the chicken pasta. Both dinners were tasty, especially when paired with their Old Fashioned.
Rude staff. Overpriced bourbon.
Unfortunately this was an incredibly disappointing and underwhelming experience. We visited the bar for a tasting before our dinner reservation at the Staymaker (in the same building). The waitress was curt and seemed very put off and annoyed when we asked to do a tasting. I didn't think it was possible, but once she found out we weren't sitting at the bar for food we well, she became more distant and seemed to write us off. We had never visited and wanted to get a good taste of Journeyman so we each did a flight. Thankfully, the boards did come with descriptions, because once they were dropped off, we weren't checked in on at all. We had questions on the proof and wanted to try a couple more but after being rudely dismissed and ignored, we paid our bill and went to our dinner reservation hoping for a better experience (it was not). Save your wallet and pallet and find somewhere else to support because this is not the place.
