This was our first visit to the Staymaker, which is the restaurant within the Journeyman Distillery. We are visiting from Chicago and this was recommended and we were not disappointed! Everything was really excellent! From our charming and attentive server Hailey, to the amazing smoked trout spread app to the Trout entree and the brisket meatloaf. It was all so delicious! We will be back!
On a summer beach trip to MI, we decided to give the Staymaker a try and we were not disappointed. When we entered, we noticed right away what a unique and a special restaurant we found. We received a buzzer and we decided to sit at the bar and have a cocktail while we waited. It didn't take us long to make the decision to have our meal at the bar. He recommended our drinks, a Painkiller made with house liquor from the distillery. It was awesome!
