Fb marketplace sale gone wrong landed me here. I drove 2 hrs to this town to purchase something from someone it didn’t work out so me and the wife stopped here to eat and have couple drinks because why not. The food was amazing! The burger was FRESH! Bun toasted and Sam the server was fast and very nice.
The Tom Cat Tavern is a super special place. It’s giving cute, millennial dive bar meets Midwest supper club. There’s a lot of creativity, thought, and care that goes into their food and drinks, and it is all superb. Excellent fresh ingredients, balanced layering (patty was the perfect smash style instead of the obnoxious half pound elsewhere) and was NEVER left under a warmer. The relay race between bartender and cook was seamless even when most seats were full and just the two of them working.
