Local tavern. Not much in the way of choices available. The owner is a nice friendly guy. In the past I’ve had smelt, but I prefer my smelt open and cleaned out. Today I tried the fish (they don’t have perch). Nice lightly battered without any seasoning. Otherwise fried to perfection. Wait staff friendly but slow about getting our orders and forgetting one order entirely. Stick with pizza. Been coming here for many years for “ girls weekend”...
Ruby Creek is a cool late night dive bar in the middle of the Huron-Manistee National Forest. When you walk in it has that certain dive bar smell. The pizzas are good. The people on conversation are always great.
Yes, it is a dive bar. We had a good time enjoying the atmosphere. It was very busy and they only had 1 bartender. None of this was her fault. Due to the crowd she was flustered and got our drinks wrong and gave our food to another table. We got a meat lovers pizza and a burger. Both were great. The burger was huge and had great chargrilled flavor.
