We have many excellent places for pastries and treats around Traverse City, but this is by far my favorite. Their unique and delicious spin on classic patisserie means I am always happy to try something new (ube, yuzu, pandan) and delighted by familiar favorites (Chocolate Chip Crookie is my FAVORITE)! Everything I have had is amazing. I go back almost weekly because they make really delicious pastries.
Spectacular treats with such a unique twist. You can really tell this family run business cares about their creations. Ingredients you never knew you needed- like Ube and Yuzu! Don’t forget the savory breads packed with cheese! Plus, always such a delight to get to chat with the people making these amazing pastries.

Merlyn's Patisserie (Preorder Pick Up and Farmers Market Only) is run by some of the sweetest people. The staff is warm and friendly. Jun and Anna are great and have a lot of talent. The patisserie are delicious, fresh, and visually beautiful. The ube desserts, ube croissant with sweet ube cream and white chocolate, macaroons, croissants, and Chantilly cake are all amazing. The Chantilly cake was a work of art and the most delicious cake ever. The interesting pastries are the best. Prices are not too bad ($5-$10). They sell out quickly, so get there early. Customers have ordered a selection as a Christmas gift, and the therapists raved about everything for days. Customer service is above and beyond. Highly highly recommended for future special presents.
