We discovered The Daily Grind last autumn when we were looking for a more budget-friendly breakfast alternative to our favorite sit-down spots. The Daily Grind is now our absolute favorite breakfast in Traverse City. The breakfast sandwich is incredible! The service is always great and the walk up area is very quaint with comfortable seating. They have some seating available outside as well, but we love to take our breakfast to go and find a nearby park to eat at.
We made a decent sized order: three mini sammies (delicious! - fried egg, cheddar, and pepperjack), a pb&j (served warm - kiddo liked it), a green apple Italian soda, two cortados, and a smoothie.
Both of our cortados were served lukewarm, leaning toward cold. I asked if they were supposed to be cold (I know they are naturally served warm), they told me no and acted surprised. I was not offered any correction for this mistake.

This place was AMAZING! It was my first time in Traverse City and I was trying to find an authentic coffee shop and this place did it! They had amazing food, coffee and service! Someone recommended the breakfast sandwich that had Homemade sourdough from a local bakery down the road and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and authentic coffee shop to represent the up north!
