For many years I have been a very good customer of Achatz in Troy, especially the French Silk. The last two times I have bought the Silk pie and it is not the same great crust, now it is like a hard cookie and slides around the dish it is served on. It will be awhile before returning to purchase any pies. Not worth the price to see if a crust correction is made.

The cream pies seem thicker lately. Even when I let them sit at room temp for a bit.

Achatz was recommended to me a year ago and I just never found my way there….until a few weeks ago! Woooooweeeee!!! I’m not even a big pie person, but these are fabulous! Carrot cake was amazing too!! Also highly recommend strawberry rhubarb and Michigan Berry.
Best pies ever!!!! Seriously .. why make your own when you will get the best pie in town here?? Dutch Apple and Mixed Berry are the best!
