The food and service were outstanding! True authentic Italian. Each course was presented and the staff described each item on the plate with its Italian name and American name. The decor wasn't to my liking. One wall was covered in kit hen items that were completely painted with white paint. This would have probably been okay but some of the chosen items were less than desirable, like egg cartons, solo cups etc. It detracted from the upscale atmosphere. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely go again!

Everything about Cucina Lab Torino shows incredible thought and attention to detail. The CL team is warm, attentive, and takes the time to explain each dish being served, making the experience both delicious and educational. This locally owned business is truly a hidden gem in Troy — a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, beautifully crafted food.

Wonderful experience! The food was excellent. We sat at the bar and it was fun to see the action. Excellent service and enjoyed a drink at the bar before dinner and the gelato looked amazing.

One of the finest restaurants in Michigan. From the expertise of the wait staff, to the meticulously comfortable interior design, Cucina Lab Torino is such a special place. It is a privilege to dine here. I will be coming back for years to come. Thank you, Matilda, Greg, and everyone involved for making my mom’s birthday so wonderful.

The place is cozy and intimate. Service was good but food was bland and underwhelming. Nothing exciting or super delicious. Temperature of the plates was almost cold by the time they got to your table . I know they change their menu every week and we might have gotten a not so great one. The food options felt like a bland wedding menu, I was expecting authentic Italian food 🙁.
Unfortunately this place did not meet the expectations for me, and won’t be coming back or recommending it.
Also, I really did not like that they did not apply the deposit to the check as stated in their rsvp website. They said it will be refunded directly to my account, I’ll be keeping an eye on it, they should remove that statement from their site otherwise is very deceptive.

Crazy prices, and it takes forever, and you're still hungry. The experience is waaaaay overpriced and somewhat overrated. Would be a reasonable value at $40-50!

My wife and I went here for Valentines weekend on Saturday 2/13/21. I feel terrible that I am just getting to this review. We had a pleasant time in the igloo built outside. Very intimate and food was delicious. We had taken a cab there and it snowed that night. My wife and I were panicking because we couldn’t find a cab in the snow storm. The owners were so nice to give us a ride home that night. I am forever grateful.

A treasure to go to. I loved the food and the environment.
I went with a friend and had the 5 course dinner.
That week it was an egg cream and asparagus toast bite which was delightful from all the different textures and surprising flavor combination.
The next was a platter of 5 one bite foods including prosciutto, fried sage, a waffle with some cream that had something else sweet, a cracker with some cream cheese and smoked salmon. They were all delightful and I love dishes like this so much where there's multiple components.
The third course was a like lemon al dente pasta. I'll admit I'm not sure how I felt about the texture.
The fourth dish had roast beast, a sour anchovy paste, some heavenly sauce that came from cooking the roast beef and perfectly cooked potatoes and carrots. This was truly an amazing dish.
The fifth dish was four small desserts. A Nutella cake, a pistachio cannoli, a strawberry Panna cotta, and a lemon mousse. I adored the strawberry panna cotta so much it tasted exactly like fresh strawberry. I thought the pistachio dessert had a bit too much of the bread part.

I’ve been twice for aperitivo on Thursdays and it’s a great experience all around. Good service and unique and delicious food + dessert. They are accommodating to vegetarians, too.

We attended the Italian spring cooking demonstration and had a great time watching and tasting. We also visited the Vino Lab next door for a glass of wine and tasting. Fun experience! This was not a hands on class, which I would have enjoyed

Experienced the Thursday appertivo with my mom. The food was delicious, especially notable the selection of cheeses in the cheese plate and the wonderful pavlova with fresh berries for dessert. Wonderful service, relaxed atmosphere. We were the latest slot and did not feel rushed in the slightest. , 10/10

What a unique amazing experience! We started the night at vino lab, the wine bar next to the restaurant, and love the staff, wine selection, atmosphere and offerings. Dinner was an amazing 5 course dinner with incredible Italian flavors. Sommelier walked us through a perfect wine pairing to complement the meal at every stage. Can’t say enough about the staff, food and atmosphere, you really have to go and experience it.
