It was ok. It used to be a lot better. Our server was nice but super slow..food has gone downhill :( used to be a favorite of ours too.

We were offered a second dinner by the West Regional Manager Kevin and really do appreciate it. It was way better than the first time. We really enjoyed the service from our waitress Rebecca. Also the GM Garrick was very nice and came to our table multiple times to make sure we were enjoying it. This is what I'm talking about. Great customer service and great food. Come check this restaurant out.

Went here for the happy hour and enjoyed a variety of sushi - Great food, price and atmosphere.

Dear Management,

My wife and I recently dined with you, and we wanted to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful Veterans Day deal you offered my wife. That gesture of gratitude is truly awesome, and we are very thankful.

We also wanted to provide some honest feedback on our meal quality, focused on the high standards we associate with your establishment's typical price range.

👍 The Positives (Highlights)
The Sushi was genuinely good.

The Ambience and atmosphere were great.

The Chopped Salad was excellent overall.

Your staff was attentive when they were at our table.

📝 Areas for Improvement (Constructive Feedback)
We felt a few elements of the meal, if we had paid the regular price, would have been disappointing:

Steak Preparation: My steak, which was ordered medium rare, arrived distinctly rare.

Vegetable Quality: The Brussel sprouts were undercooked and hard, making them difficult to eat.

Salad Detail: The excellent chopped salad was marred only by the hardboiled egg white, which had a strange, hard, rubbery consistency.

Service Frequency: While attentive, we felt our server's check-ins were not frequent enough, especially during the middle of our meal.

💡 Conclusion
We genuinely appreciate the fantastic deal and enjoyed the atmosphere and many aspects of the food. Our comments are shared in the spirit of helping maintain the high quality that customers expect from you, particularly given your standard pricing.

Thank you again for an overall pleasant experience and for honoring veterans.

Came in for a quick lunch today and grabbed a seat at the bar. Took the bartender almost ten minutes to even acknowledge me… ordered a crab crunch roll and was never offered the lunch special for it that comes with the appetizer… or any specials at all for that matter (heard others talking after I ordered). Staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Also, not sure if it’s the standard but $9 for 9 Brussels sprouts that have absolutely zero favoring is ridiculous. Crab crunch roll was 👌.

Still waiting in the lobby for a 4:30pm reservation. It’s been 25 minutes. Table not ready. Excuse after excuse. What’s the point of a reservation???

No purpose getting a reservation, it means absolutely NOTHING.

We went there for Veterans Day. Other than the fact that they gave us a free meal for my husband. The food is expensive and sub par. I had the pot stickers and the spicy tuna roll. The tuna looked like a paste instead of a slice. My husband had the ribeye that did not resemble a ribeye and was very chewy. We will never go back.

Came for Veterans Day, they were offering $49 for an entree. Wouldn't allow any walk ins. So we made a reservation. Sat down for 45 minutes never took our order so we left. Great way supporting Veterans. Maybe its because I had on a Veterans hat they didnt want to serve me to give away free food. Idk what the reason they didnt want to serve a Veteran is but I will never come back to Kona Grill and I will let every veteran and active duty member know about it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Service to was poor. Waited over an hour to receive our entree. Waitress was nice but not organized. Many people left because of the wait. Had to ask for coffee multiple times. Had to ask for cream and sugar. Received my steak which was pretty good. No steak knife!! Manager gave us a dessert and a drink on the house to make up. Entree was not worth $49. Only attended because of veterans day. My wife did not care for her entree (chicken pican). Unlikely that we will be back.

The food was fantastic and our waiter was great. He was stretched a little thin though. The dining room was jammed and there could have been a little more help. That said, we will visit Kona Grille again.

Overall it was a decent experience. We used to come here all the time but it has been a few years and we were blown away by how much the prices skyrocketed.
