Ordered the Black Tonkotsu ramen for lunch. Wow! It matches the level of excellence I’ve had in Japan. The broth was top notch. Perfectly done ramen egg. Includes thicker pork pieces than I’ve ever had in Japan. Sheer contentment!

I am on the search for a ramen shop that can match Sushi-ya. Shiromaru was about 3/4 of the way there. They do some good ramen preparation techniques that are authentic. The spicy mayonnaise, however, seemed to be a basic store- bought type that is more color than zing. That said, their spicy sushi did come with some actual spicy oil in it, so it was still enjoyable.

Saw the high ratings and had to try for myself. The waiting line was nearly out the door when we arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday but we made our way to the front within 20-minutes. This is an order at the cashier and collect your assigned number establishment. The problem is that some families push ahead and grab a table in advance leaving a member in line to order. Onviously this complicates things when all seats are already taken by diners who actually have food. The management...
