It was a pleasure to find this place so close to us. Delicious coffee with filling and flavorful dishes, such as the classic waffle and karaage chicken, is a combo that'll keep me coming back again and again. Heavily recommend visiting multiple times as there are tons of different dishes to try!

Umai cafe is the perfect spot for lunch after a winter hike. The cafe is clean & cozy and the staff were very kind. The food was good and the chocolate avocado smoothie was decadent. The miso soup and potato salad taste fresh.The cafe has a projector to play video clips and gentle music to create a pleasant atmosphere. The cafe is tucked into the corner of a strip mall, and is situated next to a fitness studio that unfortunately has no soundproofing so for a portion of our visit the loud noise had a negative impact on the experience.I look forward to visiting again and love that there is a local spot for avocado smoothies and fresh onigiri.

I went here for lunch with my sister a little before Christmas. The interior is welcoming and cozy. The cashier was so sweet and friendly! We got the sushi, onigiri meal, and one of the specialty matcha lattes. The latte was delicious! I was impressed with the slightly savory foam that balanced out the sweet drink perfectly. We didn’t have to wait long for the food to come out, it all looked and tasted amazing. I was craving onigiri and this place delivered. The portions were fairly large as well. Hit the spot, would definitely come here again. Great local business to support

Ambiance: cute little cafe. Plenty of parking. Wouldn't recommend for large groups over maybe 6 people. Nothing fancy but points for them as they were playing Demon Slayer when we came in . 7/10 Customer Service: everyone was super helpful. This was my first time and I didn't feel rushed to order anything. I went with a friend and though I ordered before her, my food came out almost 15 minutes after her. Otherwise, 7.5/10 Food: I'm excited to go back. My friend and I ordered the shrimp aburi roll, firecracker roll, fried avocado appetizer, and the umai signature roll. Everything was delicious. Solid solid food. They have options for everyone. Excited to return.

Umai is a little cafe, tucked in a corner for a strip. It is homey inside and a good place to grab a quick bite. The sushi is solid. My only gripe is that the waffles did not taste fresh. I don’t know if these were previously made or came from a box. I do wish they tasted freshly made. But the portions are large and the presentation is nice.

I visited Umai a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a small cafe so the seating here is limited. The decor is really cute and earthy, with lots of natural wood furniture and plants. I tried the shrimp tempura sushi and umai waffles. The sushi was pretty good, but the waffles were definitely remarkable. They were super light and fluffy and served with fresh bananas and strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The combination was divine, and the subtle sweetness from the ice cream was the perfect touch for the waffles. They do not serve it with syrup, so you might have to ask for syrup if that's what you prefer with your waffles. The service was slow, and that was probably the only bad thing about my experience. It took about 45 mins for me to get my waffle order, and it was not really busy in there when I went.
