Stopped into Mel's Diner today and what a Gem! I got a doube cheese burger and onion rings. You know when an onionring is on point? when you take a bite into it and you don't pull the onion out on the first bite. Every onionring was cooked perfect! Great burger too! Brenda (the owner) is the best around hands down! If you are in the Union City MI area you have to stop in and get some food! We will be back for sure!
Best pancakes in the United States hands down!! Also one of the best crews for miles. If you’re looking for local and an atmosphere like Cheers, this is the place. One of my all time favorite places to go! Good food, great people, fabulous times!!

Mel's 50's Diner offers a 1950's-themed atmosphere with good food and service. The diner serves a Western omelet for breakfast and has a kid-friendly menu. Parking is convenient with a lot next door and out front. A highlight is their delicious biscuits and gravy. Prices are noted to be slightly expensive.
