Had the coconut curry salmon special tonight. Probably the best salmon I’ve ever had. Generous portion of house made mashed potatoes, carrots, and a nice little garlic toast. Highly recommend!
Worth the drive from Kalamazoo. I love sitting on the deck, with its stately tree in the middle and gorgeous lakeside views. Last night a friend and I tried The Bacon Jammy (a new burger) and loved it! Yummy mix of flavors, gooey in the best way, with crispy edges on our (medium rare) burger. Wow! Another menu favorite is the Smokestack Sammy. Our server, Shelby, deserves rave reviews too. Thanks for the love, Vickers’ Lakeside Tavern!
Disappointed with the Food Quality for the Price
We were really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations—especially considering the price point. I ordered the Smokehouse Melt with brisket for $22 and was disappointed to find barely any brisket. My sister’s chicken tenders were dried out, and my husband asked for their signature item—pizza—only to be served one of the worst pizzas we’ve ever had.
