L.A. Cafe is a quirky little coffee shop that also offers breakfast and lunch. I've had their dark roast coffee as well as their chili nachos, and they did a nice job with both endeavors. Their menu and their indoor seating are somewhat limited, but that doesn't seem to create any problems, at least not on weekday mornings. I really enjoyed speaking to the young lady who works as their hostess/server; she smiles a lot and can hold her own in any engaging conversation. All in all, it's really good to see this alt oasis doing so well in a sea of regressive minds.

My wife had the Grilled Cheese flight and I had the High Plains Drifter. Both were very good, nice fresh sprouts on the High Plains Drifter. Or server was very nice and had great recommendations

Erin was spectacular and very knowledgeable of the menu. I really enjoy the nostalgic vibe of the place. It was creally cool. Did not want to leave actually. Very cozy and inviting and she was warm to us. My first time visiting there and will definitely be back sooner than later! Thanks for the wonderful service and memories.

They have the best coffee and homemade food! As a bonus, the cappuccinos are the perfect blend of espresso and milk.

Pretty neat café! You could spend some time looking at all of the wall decorations. They also have a little shop in the front I give four out of five stars because it can get pretty pricey. Especially with up charges, such as a $1 to grill your sandwich. I also wish I could get a Couple slices or a quarter of a pickle with my sandwich instead of charging extra.

Not a very inviting staff. How is it you go into a place an no one says hi or hello or good morning don’t hand you menus or anything.

A true gem. I always feel like it’s just a little granny in the back making delicious hearty meals made with love— that’s how comforting and delicious the food is here!

An oasis. Perfect for dates and red eyed breakfasts, interfaith dishes but a vegetarian Mecca. Calm lake view for the post meal stogie. A place where oddities like myself can get cozy. Attended an open mic here long ago and that was a treat as well.

The place as a whole is small but very cute. We stopped hoping to get breakfast to go, but it was a 30 minute wait so we settled on coffee to go and two scones.
The staff were friendly and helpful!
The scones honestly were not great. I felt they were a bit dry and had some raw flour inside. Tasted more like a biscuit. The coffee we ordered was good though. We need to go back for breakfast.

Adorable breakfast spot! Coffee was to die for and the breakfast burrito was cooked to perfection! So many quirky things to look at while you are there. Cannot wait to return!

I love LA Cafe!! They are extremely accommodating if you bring your dog to sit outside. My Portuguese water dog has separation anxiety and they came out to greet me, said I could order by phone and that they would bring everything out so I could stay with my pup! Truly the best service and delicious vegan friendly food!!

I love LA Cafe I really do. But the service I received today was awful. The younger college age server never asked us if we needed anything else with our meal before we started. We got no check in asking if we’d like more coffee or if we even liked our food. Meanwhile our server showed patrons pictures of her dog on her phone. Then we sat for a long while before I had to ask for the check. I was severely disappointed. I will think twice about returning.

I bought a few cute mirror ball style disco ducks on my first visit here. And a Raspberry Mocha with whipped cream, on my second visit. Very cute place. Good coffee too. They offer a breakfast and lunch menu, and thankfully everything that includes bread can be ordered with gluten free bread, so I will come back and try a sandwich or fancy eggs on gluten free toast. What a blessing to find out they cover all the stuff I love without wheat (gluten free). That's great news.
