Motor City Tacos Reviews
Amazing food, salsas choices are plenty and spicy. The prices are ok . Overall best place of taco in metro Detroit
Didn't get a chance to try the food unfortunately but this is definitely quite the little place, and I mean literally! The market and restaurant are basically fused together! We came to get some groceries and had to squeeze between some tables to get to the ailes, but thats no biggie. They had everything we needed and the meat was of good quality for its price. Will hopefully try the food sometime.
Only real complaint is one of the ailes was full of boxes and a step stool,...read full review

Motor City Tacos in Waterford offers authentic Mexican tacos like chorizo, carnitas, and asada. Customers appreciate the flavorful food, great prices, and friendly service. The restaurant also functions as a Mexican grocery store, providing many staples a Hispanic family could need. Many find the prices very good, often buying 8 tacos for around $22, which includes beans and rice. The food is described as flavorful and filling, with portions that satisfy. Visitors enjoy the birria tacos and enchiladas. The small building has a cozy dining area attached to a small grocery market, making it convenient for takeout. The staff are very friendly and helpful, serving tacos with sliced grilled onions and cilantro, with grilling adding a nice touch. The chicken taco was good, with nice flavoring, while the steak was cooked well but lacked flavor. The Al Pastor taco, however, was praised for its marinade, which really shined through, and is highly recommended for pork lovers. The restaurant has outdoor seating, which is perfect when the inside gets crowded. Although some minor issues like taco shells falling apart and a cold dining area have been noted, they do not take away from the overall positive experience. Some customers mentioned a slightly confusing checkout process, especially when paying for both food and retail items. Overall, Motor City Tacos is highly recommended for both dine-in and takeout, with many saying it offers some of the best Mexican food in Waterford. The staff and owner are praised for their excellent service, making it a popular spot for regular visits.
