Golden Phoenix Reviews
Food is on point, and always fresh.
Welcomed and seated immediately upon entering. First time dining experience at Golden Phoenix. Restaurant clean, casual and comfortable. Server friendly and attentive. Lunch order of almond chicken, fried rice and egg roll served fresh, hot and delicious. Above average Chinese cuisine with generous portions at fair price. Thank you…
The food was absolutely tasteless and just too expensive. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein and an egg roll. The egg roll was very greasy.

The Golden Phoenix restaurant offers a variety of Chinese dishes that many customers find tasty. The almond boneless chicken is often highlighted as a favorite, praised for its crispy texture and flavorful sauce, making it one of the best in the area. However, some recent reviews mention that the almond chicken can be soggy and the gravy may look brown rather than golden, which disappointed a few customers.
The restaurant is known for its old-school Chinese food style, with dishes like sizzling rice soup and spicy mustard receiving positive comments for their freshness and spice level. Customers appreciate the light, tempura-like batter used in some dishes and enjoy the overall flavor.
While the food generally receives good remarks, service has been reported as unwelcoming and annoyed at times, especially during busy days or large orders. For example, during Christmas Eve, orders were late, and the pickup process was chaotic, but the food was prepared well and enjoyed by all, making it one of the better Chinese food experiences post-Covid.
Side dishes and handling of large orders could use some improvement, but the restaurant continues to serve delicious dishes that many customers are eager to return for.
