I have ordered from this establishment multiple times and it’s always been for the birria tacos. One time I ordered the meal, and the rest has been a la carte where I would order 2-3 tacos. Each time I ordered this I would ALWAYS receive the sauce that comes with it. Today, I ordered 2 birria tacos for pick up and when I got home I noticed the sauce was not included. I called the rest and let them know I didn’t receive the sauce. The person I spoke to said that I have to order 3 to receive it and anytime it’s less than 3 the sauce has to be requested. I explained to him that I have ordered only 2 birria tacos before and received the sauce. I’ve never had to request it! And that makes no sense bc this particular taco is popular because of the sauce that comes with it so people are ordering it for that alone, to eat it with the sauce!!! So after going back and forth, I asked him if I could get my order remade and receive the sauce? He said, I could come back for the sauce but they aren’t remaking my tacos (mind u I only had 2 birria tacos) takes them less than 5 min to make. I explained to him that if I come back for the sauce my food will be cold, therefore, I would like my order remade. I even told him I could bring my order back because I haven’t touched my food yet. He still proceeded to say that I could come back for the sauce but my tacos are fine so they wouldn’t be remaking it. I then asked to speak with the manager. He claimed to be the manager. In a final attempt, I explained again that I’ve NEVER had to ask for the sauce when ordering less than 3 birria tacos before and for this reason can my order be remade since my food will be cold by the time I come get the sauce. He said no. I asked him is he refusing to remake my order and he said, yes! I was not rude at all. I honestly feel as a manager, and just out of common courtesy and providing customer service to your customers, especially a repeat customer, he should have remade my order since I explained that in the past, I have never had to request the sauce. For that, I will NOT be returning and they will no longer receive my business.

There are multiple Mexican restaurants in the Novi/Wixom area. My advice, if you value customer service, choose another restaurant. Don’t give EL CAMINO your business 🫳🏾

Amazing food! Took my mom here for lunch and our food was incredible, the guys working were super nice, and it was cute with the giant paintings and textured artwork. The chips that came with the salsa were the perfect thickness and tasty (the salsa too.) I got fajitas — the chicken was tender and the veggies still had some crunch. My mom got the burrito and it was huge! Everything was seasoned well and super fresh.

Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. Everything was fresh and the spices were not overwhelming. The chicken chimichangas were fantastic with shredded chicken that was delicious and looked like it had been made solely for my meal it was so bright and fresh. Dishes came with beans, pico, sour cream, and guacamole, which is often costs extra these days at other places. All were fresh and excellent. They even gave us a free fried ice cream for a birthday. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Stopped in to get lunch. I ordered a 3 item combo, 1 Taco, 1 burrito, 1 enchilada ($18 after tip). They never asked about what meat I wanted, just gave me ground beef on all of them. Food tasted fine, the usual wet ground beef. I couldn't tell the difference between the enchilada and the burrito... Pretty sure they just gave me 2 burritos (they were made using a small taco-sized shell). The only reason for the 3 star vs 4 star was sure to the value... Not a good value. At $12-$14 out the door it works have been 4 star.

The best Mexican around! Food, drinks and staff are all amazing. Nothing else compares and after our first visit anytime we go anywhere else we leave disappointed wishing it was El Camino.
