I ordered here last night and I was so sad this isn't anywhere near what it used to taste like. I used to love jj but the crust tastes like it's frozen, the sauce that I loved is gone. So disappointed šŸ˜ž

Please, stop ruining a legacy and go back to the original recipe. Things stayed the same for a brief period of time after Joe passed but after a few months the pizza changed and now it is just unbearable. There is a reason the original recipe lasted nearly 5 decades and was still going strong. I know I am not alone when I say this. So, please, just listen to your customers and the community.

Again keep up the amazing job

This place is terrible! I got one burnt pizza and one that was half cooked. So many other pizza places to go. I will never eat here again.

This place has went downhill so far that it's incredible. The food is terrible the service is terrible. What happened? New ownership ran this place and all the other pizza places he bought into the ground. Pizza isn't hard but for some reason you can't figure it out.

Used to have great pizza. Ordered a large 3 topping and a small cheese pizza. Cheese pizza was just okay. Looks like they minced the toppings and just sprinkled a little on top of my 3 top pizza, crust was also flat with barely any sauce. Will be finding another pizza place from here on out.

I don’t go anywhere else for my pizza. I love that the pizza sauce is homemade. Their pizza is incredibly delicious. I’ve had many many pizzas in my life, straight from New York, Chicago, even pizza straight from the country of Italy. The owner of JJ’s is such a nice guy and I can tell he truly cares about his customers and values his employees. Every time I go in, get curbside delivery, or get it delivered at home, the employees are always friendly and courteous and fast and you CANNOT beat their prices for what it’s worth IMO!

I ordered a party pizza they called me and said they were out of the dough they would give us a few large pizzas. They gave us 2 large and a small in stead they cut the pieces very small so there would be more. I don’t understand how they would think that was right

My pizzas were all horrible. I made an $83 order today 05/16/2025 1- large 5 topping, 1- large pepperoni, extra pepperoni, 1- big mac pizza, 1- 15pc boneless wings, 1- 6pc boneless wings. All 3 pizzas were undercooked, flour all over the pizzas, no JJ's signature pizza sauce, 5 topping was cold and hardly any cheese or toppings, pepperoni has hardly any cheese and definitely not extra pepperoni that they charge for, the Big mac pizza has no tomatoes, 5 or 6 tiny sliced pickles, instead of shredded lettuce i got chunks and brown end pieces and to top off that $20+ pizza the used processed cheese slices. The boneless chicken was all overcooked and room temperature. Also, does anyone know how to cut a pizza? You get all different sizes and can't even cut through the pizza, it's almost like toddlers are doing the cooking. Worst experience from JJ's pizza I've ever had. WTF happened to the quality and professionalism? Here it is, over a month later, and still no response from IT'S Pizza

I have been a customer of JJ’s Pizza for the last 20+ years and I will never step foot back in there again. I used to absolutely love their pizza. I would order the same pizza once a week for probably the last 20 years. However, since the owner passed away and it has moved on to whoever is running it now, I have tried giving them several chances and every single time I walk away thoroughly disappointed and disgusted.

On my latest visit I paid almost $22 for a two topping large square pizza. This was a shocking price hike from the recent past.
For $22 I received a pizza that was extremely under proofed (proofing allows the dough to rise properly) and very undercooked. As you can see in the pictures, it is bright white. It’s also evident they took dough meant for a round pizza and tried to make it into a square. The process of making those two pizzas is very different and a large square pizza requires significantly more dough than a large round pizza. I worked at a very good pizzeria for several years when I was younger, so I know the process for making round vs square ā€œpanā€ pizza very well.

Another common problem JJ’s seems to have is they can’t figure out how to cut the pizza properly into 12 even slices, like they used to be able to do for years. Some pieces are 4 inches wide and others are 1 inch wide. (See pics) The overall quality of the pizza is so low and unbelievably below any standard that should go out of any pizzeria.

I picked the pizza up at about 8:30 PM on a Thursday, got home, opened it up, saw the absolute disaster they gave me, so I turned around and came right back to ask them for a refund. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes of picking up the pizza they were already closed up and no one was there. This was literally 5-10 minutes after I picked up the pizza. If you’re planning on closing early and you don’t have the right ingredients to make your food then just tell your customer you’re sorry, but they will have to come back another day. DON’T serve them a disgusting excuse you’re trying to pass off as a pizza. That’s how you end up with dozens of terrible reviews, as you can see from the many 1 star reviews here on Google!

It absolutely breaks my heart to see this once great restaurant fall so low, so fast. I will not go back to JJ’s and I will tell everyone I know to avoid ordering from JJ’s in the future. JJ’s has fed many people at my familie’s gatherings for the past 20 years and everyone always raved about how good the food was. I have many fond memories sitting around, sharing their wonderful food with my family in the past, but that WILL NOT happen anymore. I’m sorry to see such a wonderful Wyandotte icon go down hill. The current owners should not be allowed to even use the JJ’s name because they don’t even remotely represent the quality that used to be JJ’s.

P.s. I would really like to see what the current owner has to say about this review and many of the other extremely low reviews from the past year or so.
