Fine dining at its finest. Great food and great service. Along with the aforementioned, guests have the opportunity to dine with a view of the Detroit River from inside the restaurant or outside on the pier.

We boated down here from Detroit. First time here, for the 6 of us. They are very accommodating in changing up the menu as in changing sauces for different tastes. Friendly staff one and all.Food from burger, quesadilla, pasta, turkey reuben, purch fish all where very very good. Not to mention the prices where pre covid not a RIP off price range. Example, my cheeze burger was $8 Including fries and it was great burger! It is decorated with very old photos of local and boating items, understandable usually not a consideration for a restaurant but it is a great feeling for a great restaurant.

Parking: Boat dockage for up to 8 or so boats depending of size of course . Plenty of water along the wharf for larger boats.

We were at Portofino for the Sunday brunch cruise on August 27th. This was our first time here. The staff that we dealt with were very friendly and polite. The woman who was tending the bar on the second floor was really great. The food itself was very good. But if you sit on the top deck, be prepared that the food is only served on the first deck. You will have to carry your food up the stairs. I wish someone would have told us that when we got on the ship.I was happy to see that there was a coffee pot on the top deck. But the coffee ran out pretty quickly and they do not make more. I was able to get one cup, but my dining companions were too late. You definitely need to have more coffee with brunch. I hope the restaurant will consider that in the future.I'm giving it a three for atmosphere because the chairs were very uncomfortable. And because it's difficult to understand what the captain is saying on the tour. Also, there isn't really a lot to see on this tour. Mostly small islands which are just a lot of greenery.

Hadn't personally dined here in years until tonight, but have been to private parties twice in last 2 years that were lovely and with excellent food. Tonight it was just my husband and me and we were disappointed to find that pretty much everything was mediocre. The tables no longer have table cloths, no flowers, candle, or any decor on our table in a very dark area away from windows. The restaurant had few diners present and a handful of folks at the bar. Our appetizer of coconut chicken was delicious. There was no bread, soup, or salad included with our $30+ per plate meals. Food came out crazy fast. My husband's seafood pasta was tasty. My salmon with rice and Brussel sprouts was very disappointing - salmon very dry all along edges with a sauce that did not match description on menu, rice overly sticky, and Brussels cold, flavorless, and too soft. With tip, our bill was $98 for dinner for 2 (we drank nothing but water) for mediocre atmosphere and food and service that could be described as fine, but not exceptional or memorable. Disappointing and way overpriced for our food and experience. The whole place could use an intervention!

Had a luncheon for 20 and had a wonderful time. Choose the buffet option and choose 3 entrees plus other sides. The food was delicious, Lisa the server was terrific. Everyone had a great time. Thanks Marne, DJ, Lisa and all the other staff involved.

I was so shocked and surprised with the deterioration of a Downriver Icon. Sad and near empty. The wait staff really did their best. The floor manager stopped by and inquired about our meal. He was very nice as well, but not prepared with his appearance.

They've cut back on serving bread which thought was not that great since they jacked up the prices. The food was good although I only had a salad but before they had a better choice amazing pastas and a better variety. I think they should ask the client if they would like bread or not and not charge them $5.

NEW RATING IS 1 STAR. Not the best experience. 1.) We were met by a nice hostess who said our friends were already seated but then left it to us to find them. We were not escorted to the table. 2.) The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. 3.) The food came out very fast. 4.) I ordered a Caesar salad with added Salmon. The salmon was literally a 1-2 ounce tail end piece of fish (for additional $8). The salad had some kind of dressing on it that had no taste. The waitress did take the plate back to the cook and it came back (after the rest of the table had finished their meals) with the same original piece of fish and an additional sliver of salmon. 5.) My husband had a Garden pasta that he described as bland. This was unacceptable food and very dissappointing.

Great cocktails, tasty food and fantastic view of the water. If you squint a little, you can make out the downtown Detroit skyline. Sit outside on the patio if you can. Great place for brunch, special occasions and holidays.
