I love this market. They have excellent bread and it is often warm still. There is nothing better than ripping into a nice, soft, and warm piece of bread. They have delicious prepared food and produce. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Alez Market is easily the best Middle Eastern grocery store in Ypsilanti. I’ve tried a few spots, and this one is the most consistent. The butcher shop in the back is always spotless, and the meat and chicken are high quality. Make sure to hit the bakery for the fresh breads and meat pies or zatar (thyme) pies—they’re legit. They also have shawarma and amazing hummus at the to-go restaurant inside. It’s a solid, clean, and reliable staple in the area.
Delicious, authentic food that truly tastes like home. The warm welcome makes you feel right at home, and you can tell everything is made with heart. Palestine Cola from the market is a go to!
