I enjoy Cuppy's. My meal was great. I compared it to my favorite restaurant in Lansing called Gregory's and Gregory's inched in for the win only because Cuppy's Mac n Cheese was not very good. But their Whiting Fish and Yams are top tier!!

Ordered catfish filets with greens and yams. Catfish tasted so fishy it was disgusting and the collard greens had no seasoning at all. I’m new to Ann Arbor and I know this city had great food. Never again will I order soul food from Ann Arbor.

Gumbo wasn't as good. The chicken wings, fried okra, collars were the boom

Not made to order. More like pre packaged plates. Order the spaghetti and meatloaf dinners and specifically asked for beef gravy instead of bbq, for the meatloaf. Just as i thought. Still got bbq meatloaf. And it had the same tangy and savory flavor as the spaghetti. Not a hater. And this gonna sound back handed. The cake like cornbread goes great with the spaghetti(meatloaf) flavor. But still not worth the price.

I had my favorite, Whiting filet dinner with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The fish is so crunchy and seasoned just right. The service was attentive and kind. I'll be back!

This was my first time ordering soul food. Ordered the fried wing dinner with two sides. The wings were very well seasoned and juicy. There was a ton of oil in my plate tho. The collard greens are not my cup of tea. Didn’t like the Mac n cheese, just chunks of cheese everywhere, the noodles were over cooked, very mushy, didn’t really have any flavor to them. The corn bread was really dry and tasted like refrigerator (like it was next to fish, smelled a lil fishy). FYI, their website is not updated properly. Tried to order kids wing dings (they’re chicken fingers), tried to order 5pc wing dinner (it’s only 4 pc). Also ordered the fried corn but was missing. Didn’t get a receipt so unsure if I was charged for it.

Used to be my favorite soul food spot in MI. i literally recommend all my friends and co workers, as well as strangers, who love soul food to this spot.

I went there for years, since I was at EMU. I went there for the first time in months and the food is very bland. The texture and certain elements that are unique to cuppy’s are still there but flavor is gone. The service was great though! Mecka is such a sweetheart!
. I still love Cuppy’s so i’ll chalk it up as a bad day but disappointed nevertheless
