The food here is phenomenal! I am from west Michigan, and I have had trouble finding good authentic cuisine upon moving to southeast Michigan; however, now I will only go to La Marqueza since the owners are kind and the food has far surpassed my expectations! This is my second day in a row eating here :)

Excellent tacos!

It's a taqueria, in terms of the atmosphere, which to me is highly appealing. Takeout seems to be a large part of the business and a popular option.

Taquerias need to get one thing right and that is the taco, and La Marqueza absolutely delivers. I don't agree with the other review that says that the steak tacos were dry. All of the tacos were perfectly hydrated and not greasy at all. Tasted fresh and delicious.

When it comes to authenticity, this restaurant has it. Its cozy and intimate and the aroma what wafts from the kitchen is heavenly. Not too much...just enough to make you want whatever it is they are cooking. The lady behind the counter was a sweetheart even though you can tell there was a slight language barrier. Particularly on my part cause she quite in her element. Just waiting for the food now...
