Stopped by for the first time this weekend and it was such a nice experience. We came in for pizza and were offered a variety of things to try, from a samosa to a dosa wrap. I had the potato chutney pizza and it was delicious. Super friendly service and fun and unusual fusion of flavors. If you enjoy Indian food, this is definitely a must-try!

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I just have to for Mama Pizza. Far and away the best pizza in Ypsi. The dough is great, perfect balance of sauce cheese and toppings, and they’re always trying out new combinations and offerings for the menu. On top of the great food is the service. Sam and his incredible crew there have carved out their place in the community, always serving with a smile and remembering you when you return. It’s pretty great when you get to support a small business and get incredible quality too. 10/5 stars!

The pizza is delicious. The crust is amazing, the sauce a little sweet with some hint of spice, and the toppings are quite good. The pies are priced to be one of the best deals on town, but are as good or better then more expensive competitors.
-update 09/19/25 Mama’s has the best crust in town, hands down. While most places settle for frozen blanks, theirs is clearly made from scratch, bubbly, imperfect, and full of character. It’s old-school pizza the way it should be.

This place is a hidden gem! We tried the pepperoni pizza, which was delicious and made fresh. We also tried a samosa and the chutney potato pizza....WOW they were amazing! We even got a tikka masala pizza to go as we live far away. I highly recommend!

We visited last week and had such a genuinely joyful experience here. We were greeted with warm smiles. We asked for something experimental from the menu, he suggested we try the Madras Curry dosa. The flavors were bold, the sauces were yummy, and the texture was on point! You can tell he pours his heart into everything he creates, and the experimental style makes the whole meal feel unique and fun. Then we had the pizza, which was super gooey, rich, and packed with authentic indian flavor. Samosa pizza, tikka pizza and the Alfredo pizza, simply delicious!!! (I’m def going to order again)
He was also happy to mix ingredients and create something unique just for us. It felt personal, fun, and full of heart. We haven’t enjoyed a meal out this much in a long time. Looking forward to going back again this week.

Forgot to leave a review the first time I was here — it deserves all the stars it can get.
When I first came in, I thought the $1.50 for my slice of tikka masala pizza was a mistake. The owner came out and offered my friend and I fresh-pressed juices, and a dosa after we finished our pizza. He wouldn’t let us pay for any of it and was so unbelievably kind and hospitable.
I’m sitting here now waiting for a dosa, and he reached into the display next to the register and handed me a piece of pizza for free. So generous and so kind—I can’t believe I’ve lived around the corner for two years and just now found this place!!
