The perfect little bar in the heart of Depot Town, Ypsilanti Michigan. Great service & amazing drinks! Whether you’re stopping in for a quick shot, or meeting up with a friend for drinks... the Wax Bar is the dive to dive in!
The place is cool to be in. I love the decor. I didnt like that they don't have a menu to read with descriptions of the drinks. The bartender just told us to ask him, but the place was busy and it seemed like I would be rude to ask a lot of questions. Just print menus if you're going to offer 50 drinks. Also, the Paloma I had was not good. It needed something. Not just the fact that it seemed to lack alcohol in it. We had 6 drinks between three of us. None of us were...
If you want draft beer, go somewhere else, though they do have a great beer selection. The drinks aren’t cheap, but they use quality ingredients (they juice daily), and still better priced than what you would find in A2 for the same quality.
Bottom line: if you want great drinks and an amazing staff, this is your place. Best bar in Ypsi. Plus it’s always amusing to see how short Andy’s (the owner) shorts are in the summer.
