If you’re ever around Saugatuck/Lake Michigan, then American Char is most definitely worth a visit. It’s absolutely delicious homemade BBQ and Pizza. We got the sampler and everything was tender and juicy. Their homemade sauces are a blast of savory flavors (we enjoyed them all, but loved the Kentucky Black and Kansas City in particular). The bbq baked beans are easily the best we’d ever had. We also had the Hallaback Street Corn pizza which was fantastic...
Some of the best BBQ you can come across. While it does sit a little off the beaten path, thats the allure of this place.

It's a very cool place. Staff are awesome people, so kind and welcoming. They have great food, I did find the ribs dry but some people like it that way. But the pork, listen yall 👌 right on the money. The sauce is veryyyyyy good and so happy to see all homemade. Just a really great environment and would go back literally just to be around the staff and their good vibes.
