Now we make the drive from Big Lake every couple weeks, because honestly, brunch anywhere else feels like a compromise. The first thing that hooked us was the Flaming Hen Sandwich. It’s not just a dish — it’s a declaration. Crispy-edged perfection with that sweet-heat swagger that wakes up every corner of your mouth. Then came the Pork Belly Bites, glazed and glistening like they’d been kissed by angels with cast-iron skillets. And those Minnesota Wontons? A love letter to comfort food — golden, tender, a little nostalgic, a little bold, like home and adventure decided to share a plate. The space hums with warmth — rustic wood, soft light, laughter that doesn’t echo, it settles. The staff greets you like they’ve been saving your table all week. You can tell the bartenders know their craft; they pour not just drinks but little conversations that make you feel seen. Every visit feels like a reminder that good food isn’t just cooked — it’s cared for. And these folks care deeply. “What a sweet surprise! We shared a delicious meal of orange chicken, general sauce, chicken, and eggrolls. They all came out hot and delicious light breading on the chicken. The sauce was very flavorful. Meat was tender and not dry. Different than your typical Asian fast food restaurants. Much better flavor to the chicken. It did not disappoint. We will be back.”

“Went here twice in the last couple of weeks haha. Once at dinner on a Saturday and it was packed. We waited maybe 10 minutes for a table for 3 of us. Once we were seated though it took quite some time before anyone came and greeted us at the table beyond the initial salsa and chips drop off, which I will say was very fast both times! But it took a while for drinks. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. It took about an hour to get our food. However, the food was delicious and came out fresh! We weren’t offered refills of drinks until we had far finished our meals. But maybe we eat/drink fast haha. It was super busy so I completely understood! We paid and were able to leave fairly quickly after that- service was fast to process that. Today my service experience was completely different. I admittedly went around 11:30am by myself. The place was empty minus one bigger table of maybe 10 adults? When I first got there, that is. I was seated immediately. Chips and salsa immediately. Within maybe 5 minutes, someone came to take my order and I was able or order all at once again drink and food. Within 15 minutes of being seated, I was eating. The food was even more amazing today and highly recommend the lunch menu! The server was very attentive to refilling drink and checking on how food was. Overall we have loved having this place so close to home and plan to eat here many many more times! We probably will just try to avoid busier times for a while until they maybe get into the swing of things! Will say when I left from lunch today around 12:30pm it was starting to get busy, so I am super happy for them to be doing so well it seems! Highly recommend going here! Btw- by refills I just mean pop/water- I’m not sure if our experience would have been different have we ordered any alcohol. Anyway, definitely go here!! :)”

“AMAZING Matcha! :) I don’t typically enjoy the matcha in stores, because it isn’t ceremonial grade and it tastes watery. But, Gregory has done it SO well. I am glad I have a place to enjoy my daily matcha.”

“Stopped in after walking a few miles to rest and get get some water. The staff that was working there were very kind as well as the manager. One of them approached me and asked if I wanted anything to drink (a coffee) and gave me one for free. Made my day !”

We had a DoorDash Delivery mishap after putting in our online order– and their manager Johnny was so kind as to call us, make us fresh food (the delivery time was pushed back by almost 90 minutes!), and sent a free dessert. We are so appreciative and in awe at their incredible customer service!”

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!!! The pizza and cheesy bread were cooked perfectly — hot, crispy, and loaded with flavor! The top photo shows how beautifully everything was prepared right out of the box, and the bottom was after reheating in my oven just because I like my food extra toasted. I’ve always raved about this place, and they continue to impress every single time. For $35 you’re definitely getting top-quality food, and it’s worth every penny. Their customer service is just as great — super friendly and more than willing to help with anything. Couldn’t be happier! Definitely recommend!”

“Ordered for drive thru pickup. For my husband’s order I mentioned his name is birthday boy. They labeled everything, made it all correctly! “Look for Derek C on your receipt, he is a top tier cook, and he makes the best Tom Yum. The place is always empty, it seems like everyone does take out. They do charge a 4% fee for CC payment unfortunately. We do love Hong Thai Albertville though.”
