My husband and I had "Date Night" at the new Tuscany Italian Restaurant in Alexandria tonight. We shared a Caesar Salad and the Veal Parmigiana and of coarse their amazing Garlic Knots. The food was exceptionally good, the service was outstanding. They were fairly busy. Lobster Ravioli was so good! The sauce was a combination of red and alfredo which was great with the bread. Our son had a mixed white and red vodka sauce with penne pasta and chicken. I tasted his and it was delicious too. My husband had a penne pasta with chicken and asked for spicy. We shared a Tiramisu for desert. It was light and had an espresso flavor. We will be back with our parents hopefully. Cant wait to try the Lasagna. Everything was so good!
We have visited three times, and absolutely love it.
Food is authentically Italian (we lived there for seven years) and there are very large portions. I wish I could rate the food as 10 of 5 stars. They do not have a liquor license yet, it would be nice to pair the food with wine. And they absolutely need to offer Italian coffees. Or Minnesota coffee. Or any coffee. 10/5

Tuscany Italian Restaurant in Alexandria is a new Italian restaurant that has quickly become a favorite for many. The food is authentically Italian, always fresh and delicious, with very large portions. Guests have enjoyed the Caesar Salad, Veal Parmigiana, Garlic Knots, Fetuccine Alfredo with Chicken, Penne ala Vodka, and lasagna. The fresh baked dinner rolls brought before the meal and the oil dipping sauce are highly recommended. The service is outstanding and top-notch, with friendly, cheery, and extremely helpful servers who go out of their way to ensure meals are safe for allergies. The restaurant is neat, clean, and crisp, with a nice atmosphere, though some suggest low dividers between tables and dimmer lighting to break up the cafeteria feel. The restaurant is still waiting on a liquor license, so bringing wine is no longer possible. It is working on making the inside more welcoming. Overall, it is a gem and a real Italian Restaurant that the community should support.
