The Tavern Grill Reviews
Great first time experience & delicious food!
My kids & I were searching for a place to have a late dinner and ended up at The Tavern. We were quickly greeted & seated, our waiter was super attentive to us, and the food was amazing! We had the walleye, juicy lucy and (grilled) chicken pasta Alfredo.
Will definitely go back for a date night to try some cocktails with my husband.
Terrible service!!!! So bad we didn’t have a chance to order food!!!!
Went here last week with husband, Jim Soucek. We were looking for a new and fun place to try for lunch and found it at the Tavern! We enjoyed their sharable Pizza and will be back for more! Excited to try their Brunch!

The Tavern Grill offers a delicious brunch buffet with a slightly high price. While the omelet was a bit dry, which is common, customers appreciate the variety of food options available, including the amazing appetizers like gyro fries, boneless chicken wings, sesame sticks, and chicken lettuce wraps. The sesame sticks remain extremely crunchy and yummy with various sauces. The atmosphere is great with lots of windows, dim lighting, and sectional seating that provides a nice view outdoors. The staff is polite and attentive, accommodating to dietary restrictions. Though service can sometimes feel stretched, they stay friendly. The food is generally good and consistent, making it a recommended place for a lovely dinner with drinks.
However, some recent changes have caused disappointment among regulars. Happy hour now ends at 5pm, pushing some customers to consider other options that run until 6pm. Recent menu adjustments have removed favorite items, and there have been complaints about the quality of ingredients in the build-your-own options. A recent visit highlighted some mixed experiences; while the crab stuffed portabella mushrooms were a highlight, the fettuccine alfredo lacked flavor. On the positive side, the Reuben was praised, and the seasoned sour cream was mouth-watering.
Despite a few service hiccups, like upselling and a minor spill, the staff remains friendly and engaging, especially at the bar where bartenders are quick and helpful. A 3 percent credit card surcharge was noted on the bill, which some found off-putting. Overall, The Tavern Grill continues to be a great place to relax and enjoy a meal, with plans to return for dishes like wagyu stroganoff and eggs benedict.
