The rolls did not taste like they used to. They lacked molasses & spices that gave them a really good taste. The mashed potatoes were not fully mashed. About half was one lump.
Just a truly delightful gem of a place. The tomato basil soup was the best I've ever had. The reuben was perfect! The desserts are the size of your head! If you're in the area, you need to stop.

My main issue was how Managment handled the bad experience I had with meal ordered .i ordered
Thai
cashews chicken red and green peppers, onions, pineapple and roasted chili peppers with a Thai sauce.
Served with jasmine rice. (Roll not included) 15.99
The meal was pleasing to me at first I was enjoying my meal it was delicious until I came across a red veggie looking thing . My first thought was red onions I started chewing on it and as I did I thought I’d go through the roof . It was burning my mouth so badly .my eyes were watering terribly . I waved down waitress …thought but discovered later that it was the manager /owner . I said to her with urgency that” I need water my mouth feels like it's on fire ! “
She got me some water . I felt very sick to my stomach .The burning in my mouth was getting worse and worse . I felt very nauseous and ran to the bathroom where I vomited a bit .when I returned to my table I talked to my waitress . I told her that I could not eat my meal or even sip on my coffee . My mouth was still burning and I wasn’t about to take a chance on another bite of the meal .. I told the waitress that I shouldn’t have to pay for a meal that I can not eat . She said she’d speak to the manager/owner . She then told me that the manager /owner refused to take my meal off the bill . .I went to speak to manager/owner myself . She blamed me and said it was my fault for ordering that meal ..Never once did she apologize for my poor experience. She continued to put blame on me . She even said that I shouldn’t have known by reading the menu . I told her I’ve had chili peppers before but not like those . She said because it said Thai sauce in the description of the meal I should have known that it was very hot . I proceeded to try to argue the point with her that I couldn’t eat my meal so I shouldn’t be charged for it . She asked me to leave the restaurant. I was shocked how badly she treated her customer. I left thinking if the owners treat their customers so poorly , how do they treat their staff ..very poor managment / owner but good service from the staff.
I have just read the owners rebuttal below . This is my response . You stated that I walked out on my bill when in actuality I was under the assumption that my girlfriend payed while I was dealing with you . You asked me to leave the restaurant because you were done arguing the dispute .. I left not knowing the bill wasn’t covered . When I did realize what had happened. I believed the right thing had happened . I think this absolutely shows that you yourself need to learn that kindness does go a long way .

We love this place! The servers are always kind and it's such a homey little restaurant with a cute shop too. However, we really only love this place for breakfast and dessert. Never huge fans of lunch or dinner, the food is a bit boring. However, we will return again and again for breakfast and a piece of Heath Bar Cake!

Very nice place. However, the breakfast my friend and I ordered was, to say the least, horrible. We ordered cornbeef hash , eggs and a pancake. In what universe is cornbeef hash made with parsley, raw, not cooked, shredded potatoes . Eggs were over done . The only thing that was semi edible were the pancake. Waitress ask if she should bring some take home boxes, really. I said " what for?. This food is not edible. " I paid for the food, the food we didn't ate. BUT NEVER AGAIN.

Didn't see an updated menu on their Facebook page. Thought I would say how awesome this place is and also post the menu they have. Especially for parents with picky kids. I added the kids lunch menu too

Very disappointed have tried it on several different occasions
Had a tomato basil soup. It was so good, and a BLT sandwich. Sandwich did not come with a side, which was a bit odd. Then I ordered a hamburger kids meal. And I was disappointed. Patty and bun! Not even a pickle in sight ?. But tomato soup was so good I would come back for it. The restaurant is a bit dated

I ordered the Mexican omelet, and while it was tasty, it was SO greasy. The meat hadn't been drained, so I ended up with a plate full of grease.
My dining partner ordered eggs benedict, and thought it was very tasty.

Four of us had a late breakfast today, Saturday, on the patio. Parking lot was deceptively full.... thought we would have a wait. Seated right away. Entered to a few couches, a large bakery display case and The Vintage Rose boutique off to the right. We were seated at the only round patio table without an umbrella so as the sun kept peeking through the trees .... we asked to move to the table next to us. Our server gave us the go ahead. My nephew ordered the blueberry pancakes. Which the server immediately informed them: they can be prepared two ways: the blueberries cooked in them or on top w cream for a compote. They opted for the compote and said they were delicious! My niece opted for regular pancakes, also delicious. My mom opted for a Taste of Heaven omelet w bacon and the side of pancakes. I opted for a Taste of Heaven omelet w sausage w a side of wheat toast. I declined the fruit option when she said it was pineapple, cantaloupe and green grapes. To my delightful surprise my sausage wasn't breakfast sausage links it was kielbasa. The lobby is built for the busy wait that is always a possibility. A few couches, and benches along the wall. There was even a vintage wood bench in the ladies room. Our meal was delicious, service friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Thanks for a delightful inaugural meal experience, Carol's!'s!
