I have been going there since it opened. Great food, large portions & very kind staff. I invited some friends who hadn't been there before. They enjoyed it as well and brought home leftovers for their husband's ✌️
This wonderful little restaurant is everything you would want if you're Minnesotan Mom was running a restaurant just for you. All the classic comfort foods with amazing desserts. The amazing staff are warm and friendly and while efficient they were not running to get things done. Just moving about as if by design. I can hardly wait to visit again to have the Alfredo with some shrimp after already trying an amazing Flat Iron Steak.
Food was delicious and waitress was fun and attentive. The Alfredo with shrimp was one of the best I have eaten in some time.

Carol's is a consistently delicious place for food and desserts! They also have gluten-free options. The Nova Scotia rolls that come with some of the meals are so good also. I regularly get the Free Range Turkey Dinner and I also love the Robust Chicken Garlic Pasta. My family really liked the Carol's Reuben, the Meatloaf Dinner, and the Fritter Monte Cristo Sandwich. Carol's does not take reservations and peak time is very busy. We try to time our visits at off-peak hours and once everyone in the party is present, we usually get seated pretty quickly. If there is a wait to be seated, Carol's food and desserts are well worth the wait!

Carol's is a good restaurant. Their food is excellent. However, they did something today that was not the best of service. I had mentioned to the waitress that this was my wife's 86th birthday. Upon completion of the meal, she said that Carol's had a special treat for her because of her birthday. Then she brought a dessert tray without even asking if we wanted a desert before. So, she told my wife to pick out a dessert and also for me. To my surprise we were charged for the desserts that we would not have ordered. I paid for them but for Carol's to take advantage of my wife's birthday to sell us desserts reminds me of the old "switch & bait" employed by other sales purchases. Carol's please before you bring dessert choices do it without taking advantage of your elderly customers. The desserts were excellent, but I also paid $12 that I did not want to buy. RJM

Simple menu, great food, quick service on a Saturday morning. Busy, but well organized. Friendly service.Cute gift shop.My only dissapointmeny was no one returned to see if we wanted a refill. It was busy, and that wont stop me from returning. But, would have made the experience a bit nicer.
Such good food! Large portions, all fresh and homemade!The desserts are awesome! Its a clean and cozy atmosphere. Check out the gift shop on the way out. Can't wait until the next time I go!
