My wife and I are staying at the Hilton for 3 days. Tonight is day one so we decided to try out the Garden Grille. There are a lot of people here and there is only 1 server!! I feel bad for the server because she is all by herself and is an elderly person. I can tell she was a little overwhelmed. But in my opinion she could use a little help. I've noticed some of the people sitting decided to get up and leave, because it was taking so long... we have been sitting here patiently waiting for our food for about 45 minutes, and it's still not here. Maybe we came at a bad time?? Yeah this is the first and last time we are dining here.

On Saturday 12/16, my son and I stayed at this hotel while we were in town to watch the Timberwolves game. We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located near the Mall of America, where we had done some shopping earlier in the day. The room was satisfactory, it was clean and met our needs. The only drawback was the parking fee, which I ended up paying, although I think I could have gotten away without paying it. Next time, I will try to avoid that expense. Overall, the location was good, but there weren't many restaurant options nearby, except for Outback across the street at another older hotel.

On Friday night, August 11th, I got delayed in Bemidji by thunderstorms. I was supposed to land in Minneapolis by 7 and then go to the hotel for a quiet and relaxing evening. Instead, I arrived at 11:30 p.m., totally exhausted and frazzled. I had missed dinner and my husband called the hotel and asked if he could have a pizza delivered for me. When I arrived, I mentioned this to the women at the front desk. They smiled and told me it was already in my room! I then asked if there was any way I could order a glass of wine to also take to my room. They smiled and said the was already taken care of. When I got to my room, not only did I find a small pizza and glass of wine sitting on the table for me, but they had added a Hersheys Candy bar and a hand written card to me..all on their own!! I still have the card and will keep it as a sign to me of how kind total strangers can be. The card reads, "Welcome! So glad you made it safe. Here's a love token from your husband. Enjoy your night! Sleep tight. Love, HGI staff Give these women a raise!! They turned a very exhausting and stressful night into such a wonderful experience. I was only able to be in your hotel for a total of 6 hours, but I slept so well knowing I was so cared for! Thank you!!!

Late flight into MSP. Checked into the hotel at 1:15AM. Front desk gal on night shift was great! Room was descent. Got to bed at 2:00AM. Six hours later, I was up and in the shower. Coffee in hand, I was out the door by 9:00AM. Very short stay, but convenient location near the airport. Nice staff, even at check out.

My partner and I initially weren't supposed to stay here, but we ended up here because of a last minute planned trip. I booked this place through my travel rewards, and I had enough points to fully pay for it. The older lady behind the front desk missed that part when she was trying to check me in, so she rang me up for a night's stay as if I hadn't already paid for it, but my information was in the system. So then, her manager comes out and says that their pet policy only allows cats and dogs but will check me in this time and that it would be a $75 charge. The $75 charge is when you're there for 5+ nights, and all that time she was staring at my reservation. Then she said to insert my card, and the total was $175 something. I made a comment like why is it that much because I already paid for the room with my credit card points, and I believe that the pet fee should only be $50 because it's a one night stay. So then she was like we will have to reverse it for you on the back end, and then she tells the older lady that I was supposed to have been credited after viewing my reservation. It seems like no one there really knew what to do. I can't be the only one or the very first one that stays at a hotel that sees a lot of tourists using my credit card perks. I checked out on Monday morning, and I asked the front desk about the reversal to my card, and it turns out that she didn't do it in the back end like she said she would. A gentlemen upfront was very apologetic, asked for the last 4 digits of my credit card number and said he took care of it for me. So, shortly after I received an itemized receipt saying that I was credited, but there was a $109.34 charge to a Mastercard that I don't own. I think that the staff here needs another training on how to handle reservations that have already been paid for upfront ahead of time, and the lack of attention to detail from front of the house to management is not ok. I much rather them take another minute longer to make sure they didn't leave out an important detail than to rush through it. Other than that, the place is clean and no frills type hotel. They have a free shuttle to take you to the Mall of America and also to the airport. Parking is owned by third party and costs $10/night. You're supposed to scan the QR code at the front desk to pay for it. Based on this experience so far, I can't say if I'm keen to coming back again. But in the near future, I'll check them out again in hopes that things have changed.

Mostly good. Most staff friendly. Room good. Convenient location. Day manager rude and dismissive and he parks in the diamond reserved parking spaces. We are diamond members that used to expect more from Hilton but lowering expectations, sadly.

We actually stayed here on a work trip for a month & a half & every from manager, desk ladies, shuttle drivers, housekeepers, waiters & bartenders were like family to us! Even after moving hotels because we got further extended and needed more apartment style. We still go back to this hotel to visit everyone! Brian was legit the best bartender! Lillia and her family run the floor at breakfast and we loved hanging out with her in the mornings. The shuttle drivers would always pick us up at any time, they would take us to the mall, nearby restaurants, Walmart, gas station, etc… I had one room that was too close to the patio area and with early work hours found trouble sleeping & had some outlets not working I talked to the manager and he sent a maintenance person right away and moved me to the top floor and I slept amazing!!! The housekeeper on the top floor was soooo amazing she remembered everytime she cleaned my room that I was out of make up wipes and gave me a handful as well as extra coffee pods. It really is the small things that made this home away from home so perfect. Our supervisor is a germaphobe and has a wand that tells you how clean things are and she said this is one of the cleanest hotels she’s detected. They have a cozy lobby area, a lovely patio area where we celebrated birthdays. Lots of parking and you can park and fly there is a small fee naturally. Some of these reviews confuse me because I was there for a month and a half and had an amazing experience. If you have issues don’t hesitate to ask them for assistance to make it better. They were so receptive and always made me feel special. Highly recommend!

Just checked in. No mention that you have to pay for parking, $10 per night, plus tax, plus a fee. I would have gone elsewhere. The window in our room is broken, yet taped and our window shade is broken as well. Close to MOA and free shuttle to MSP and MOA. I'm a Diamond member and won't be staying here again. I should have read the reviews prior to booking.
