Food was very good, it was so hot I couldn’t eat it, like it came right out of the fryer. Service was good too.
However, I found it a bit weird, and a bit cheap, that you couldn’t get a free cup of tap water here. Every fast food place offers this. The prices at Long John Silver’s are already kind of steep; would a cup of tap water cut into their profits that much?
UPDATE: Food this salty dries you out. I had a dehydration headache for the rest of the day after I ate here. Surely this wouldn’t have happened if I had some water.

When is this place going to be so cheap with condiments and expensiv3 for mediocre food. How can you tell that a place is owned and run by someone unfamiliar with American culture. Napkins, salt, ketchup, pepper, tarter sauce, malt vinegar should be available and shouldn't have to be begged for. And why the lazy attitude and look of disgust on the faces of the employees? Its because of the customer you can enjoy your iPhone and fake nails.

Following many years of being a LJS fan, I write my first and last review for them… Growing up, I remember found memories of dining in or ordering takeout from the restaurant in my hometown of Iowa - from the corn on the cob served in a buttery bag to their fries, especially, which always had me returning for more.
Today, the MoA location is the last one standing in Iowa and Minnesota. I shopped for a few hours and was looking forward to my pick me up lunch, at last, it was probably a year or two ago the last time I’ve had LJS. It was $16 for a 2 fish combo, shrimp, hush puppies, coleslaw, and waffle fries (nooo) - a bit steep I thought, but as long as the food was still on par, no problem.
I know Hush puppies are deep fried balls of dough, but that’s all I could think of while chewing them… lacking crunch and doughy. Fish was pretty good, maybe the shrimp could have been crispier. Coleslaw was some of the worst I’ve had, I never make coleslaw but I know I can do better. Lastly, the waffle fries were the saddest ones I’ve had, like someone halfway deep fried some frozen ones from a store bag.
Sadly, my visit to LJS confirmed quality has sharply declined - it is circulating the drain.

the fried fish tastes pretty average, with the waffle fries and hush puppies not offering much else to boost the taste. For the price, there's much better options, but if you just want some quick fried fish then here you have it

Thier food use to be realy good it fell off so bad we just went to the mall over the weekend it was bad the prices were ridiculous and the food was horrible the chickn planks was very thin almost like fish hardly no breading they had crosstrack fries which were cold and they werent busy the tarter sauce came in a packet wasnt even ljs tarter sauce it was gross tasting and the cheese curds were no good not like thier usual ones i was so disapointed idk if the changed owners or wht happen but it was bad seem like you’re trying to cut corners and save money and it didn’t work because it was just bad. We will never go back again.
It was inside the mall ! I just wanted drive through it would be a treat I never get ,omg everything on menu is delicious but i hate to eat, honestly . Odd eating disorder but you derived me
