“We recently tried out Lat 14 in Golden Valley and had a wonderful time!

Upon entrance the atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant with attentive service and staff.

We started with the Basil Wings, they had a delicious crispy exterior and were soft and tender inside paired with fried jalapenos and a hint of lime, definitely a highlight of the night! We also tried the Snow Crab Wontons, which did not disappoint, they were tasty and served with the Apricot Sweet Chili sauce that added a fruity sweetness that tied it all together.

To follow, we went with the Khao Soi Chiang Mai, served in a generous bowl, it was a dish that was enjoyable and had a little kick to it! The Chicken Adobo Fried rice was flavorful, served with a sunny side up egg and soy vinegar braised bone-in chicken, all very tender.

Throughout our stay we tried a few different cocktails, the Jasmine 45, by simply looking around we noticed how popular it was and I would totally recommend it, it was bubbly, sweet, and refreshing! The Mango Mojito was very good, it reminded us of a mango soda rather than a mojito. The Lat 14 Old Fashioned was perfect for slowly sipping throughout the night. Lastly, the Espresso Martini, made with a mix, we usually prefer them on the stronger side, this one was very light and smooth.

To end the night off we tried the Luq’s Scoop for dessert, it was a delicious toasted coconut ice cream served with caramelized pineapple, toasted coconut flakes, and toasted almonds. It was creamy and sweet, the perfect way to wrap up our stay!

Overall, we had a great time trying out Lat 14, we enjoyed their take on classic dishes and drinks and would totally recommend it to anyone looking to branch out and try some diverse Asian cuisine.“

Today - however - I came in and ordered my usual “extra extra spicy Chicken Fried Rice” and the employee helping me refused to believe that’s how hot I wanted it and instead wrote “medium spicy”. As a regular customer who knows her tolerance and their food, I don’t appreciate being ignored and denied my request. If this happens again, I will be discussing it with the employee.“

I got to the car food was fresh, I mean burn your mouth fresh, took the first bite and it reminded me of this amazing restaurant we HAD back home called King Fong in downtown Omaha. It was the best fried rice. ??????This is a runner up. So that says a lot. Anybody that know about King Fong in Omaha know about King Fong! ???

Anyways the service is good, speedy and I have not had a problem always nice and friendly and they laugh when I order only cookies previously but now…ordering the cookies and the fried rice. Oh for those that are into the details like that of the dish it is brown rice (I believe it is colored with flavored additives). It has white and green onions, eggs and bean sprouts again simple but comparable to a lot of fried rice that has to add all the extra fixings just to give it flavor this place is great for minimal ingredients with a mouthful of flavor. Don’t even need to add the soy sauce. Again my review is specific to the shrimp fried rice and cookies. Happy eating y’all!

Ordered my typical chin dynasty that consists of two (2) 1/2 entrees over fried rice. I got the usual firecracker shrimp and the second option was the sesame chicken. “My friend and I went to the west end location for lunch. We got the hurricane and the cherry blossom rolls. They were so delicious. “We now drive to Maple Grove to enjoy P.F. Chang’s menu. We were sad to see the mall at Edina make changes that impacted that location being open. But it is worth the drive. The décor is in lovely oriental style with tables, booths, and bar seating dining options. The Chef’s Feast is a good deal.

My mom grew up in China, so being able to order signature Asian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, Mongolian, and Chinese food dishes is important to us. For at least 12 years, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps (wonderful peanut sauce), and Chicken Pad Thai have been among my personal favorites. The veggies are nice and fresh.

This time, I ordered the Mongolian Trio, and mom had the Crispy Honey Chicken. Both were excellent, as well as the Egg Drop soup for our starter course. The brown rice was perfectly prepared. The Mongolian Trio had only a few shrimps, some chicken and was mostly beef. While the flavor was excellent, it has a bit of a “pasty” taste if you try warming up left-overs the next day. Seems like too much cornstarch is used in the sauces.
The service was great. The potions are of fair size.

It is also easy to order online for sushi delivery and also for pick-up. For individuals who have dietary preferences, they have multiple gluten-free and vegetarian entrees on the menu. We’ve been fortunate to gain parking near the door in a free space. You may want to come early during the prime-time dinner hour to get parking.

Highly recommend!
