The ambiance in there is mad cute perfect place for an impromptu dinner date in my opinion. Only drawback is I wished that the rice had a slightly larger portion & it felt a lil too expensive for the amount of food. Other than that the waitress was so sweet & gave excellent service as well as menu recommendations. I can’t for the life of me remember her name & it’s bothering me now. “Stopped into Ichiddo Ramen in Highland Park for lunch on a Friday and it was surprisingly quiet. I was the only customer up front, aside from a couple people in the back who seemed like family of the staff, so it had a very relaxed, low-key vibe.

I kept it simple and ordered the chashu ramen, and it was exactly what you want from a solid bowl. The broth had good flavor, the pork belly was well done and tasty, and the noodles had that perfect chewy texture.

Nothing over the top, just a well-executed, satisfying bowl of ramen. With tip, it came out to about $20 (just water to drink), which feels pretty standard these days.

“A classic Saint Paul neighborhood bar, with simple grub yet so affordable, a mix of Asian and American. All served as takeaway but you can eat it there if you want and the portions are gigantic. There's bingo two nights a week, a Friday afternoon meat raffle, and pulltabs/etabs. Locals are the majority of the clientele but for all its grittiness, it's a safe place with patrons who care about the establishment! Watch out for the parking lot. It's a dirt lot minefield of potholes that will destroy your transmission of you go faster than 1 mph.“
