“Omg I don’t know where to start from searching the internet to finishing the food ?. This woman here has my stomach wanting more & I will definitely be coming back sooner than later. Exceptional customer service and a bundle of joy to speak with. My experience was a total 5 really a 10 but I could only put a 5 ? so she know who this is and ima keep a smile on her face as long as she keep feeding my soul this southern food. “My new favorite restaurant. Everything we had was amazing! We had shareable plates, so we could try a bit of everything. We couldn't stop eating. Then, the leftover collard greens were great in an omelet the next morning lol. I'll definitely be back.“

It's our go-to recommendation for visitors from out of town, and more often than not, we come along too!Just make sure to look up the past work of the musicians before booking, because the styles vary wildly. Our least favorite was a band that pretty much sounded like elevator musak /: That said, they were still great musicians, and we've always enjoyed our outings here.If you book far enough in advance, you can snag the super close up balcony seats, which are really a VIP experience, or the snug little booths, but even at the longer group style tables, you'll have a blast.“

“Tried it for dinner with a co-worker and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Beer was good and the waiter allowed me to 'taste' a couple as I was new to the offerings on the menu. I had the 1/2 chicken and my associate had the chicken sandwich. Added fries and Brussels sprouts as sides. We both had take home left after getting plenty to eat. My wife wants to go back and share the 1/2 chicken as she got my leftovers! Wait staff was great and definitely returning soon.“

“Ok guys, I've been seeing this place for a while, so I decided to stop by. Why, oh whyyyyy didn't someone stop me before?? I LOVED this food! Cajun Style Seafood! I had the "Seafood Delux" and my wife had the Catfish basket, both were supremely very good!! The fries were excellent with the catfish as well. The serv8ce is very good, very friendly and super nice!! That Lobster tail and snow crab, good Lord!!!! My eyes were floating, it was so good!! “was a bit worried after reading a few 1 or 2 star reviews but 3 beef ribs I had were very smokey and tender yet chewy. ribs came with sauce already, more of sticky type than runny but goes well with smokey ribs. I liked side toasts with some cheddar sauce on 'em and lightly cajun fries. without knowing I stood and waited for about 30 mins or so (no chair and area's kinda dark) but food was worth the wait. Amos allows call-in so next time Imma call in to try other stuff!“

“I wanted to patronize the local Black economy while I was in town for a conference. I found this place on my last day. It seems you can only reserve a table. The wait staff are young, but knowledgeable, they all work well together in their three sections. Restroom was clean‼️ I tried the French toast and chicken wing (whole) organic because they weren’t huge, which is great to me! I also got the plain Mac n cheese to go(? no picture but the taste??). The owner walked around greeting every table. If you’re in Minneapolis definitely plan to dine here!“

“I got a brisket plate with a side of creamed corn. The brisket was really tender and had a great smoky flavor. I was actually blown away by the flavor of the corn. It was phenomenal. I'll definitely come back to try more of their menu options.“

“As someone who has lived in the south for numerous years, I can say this is the BEST Soulfood I have had in years. The flavor is incredible and it is like eating at a family bbq. I don’t mind the wait for the food since it is all being made fresh and they are not reheating food that’s been frozen. I can’t wait to come back and eat again.“
